When it stops hurting
It will never stop hurting...
When it stops hurting
This is what many of us have wanted to see and hear for ages, so so good to hear. Now to add some tin pots.Bsodl can hold their heads high this morning. Levy and team filled every slot(yes every slot) Jose wanted filled, and threw in Bale for good measure. Bought before we got the outs which is unprecedented for Levy, and did it all without a massive outlay.
Such a contrast to the last few windows, partly down to Covid, partly down to having Hitchen and Birch, and partly down to having a manager not fixated only on certain individuals.
I'd say the back of house team now matches the stadium and training ground, and given time the first team will be at that point as well.
Whatever happens there will be no room for Jose to blame the board if things don't go as planned.
COYS
Kudos to Daniel Levy, who heeded Josè advice and took advantage, or get left behind. Without Josè we could not of done the dual Real Madrid deals. He played a big part with his links and friendships at boardroom level there. Kudos to DL listening, stepping back a lot (though still heavily involved) and let his new charges, including Birch engineer things. Do not in any way underestimate Steve Hitchen’s influence. COYS!!!
