Wait and see GLC's impact once he has Kane, Son and Stevie in front of him.
Gonna be pulling the strings

And a fit Lamela
From dragons itk, he says that Mourinho wants 8 players. Tbh I agree with that.
Sorry mate but of the three B.Fernandes would’ve 100% been the best move, you can see what effect he’s had on that Man.U team already he’s taken them to a new level. GLC is a great signing don’t get me wrong and has potential to do very well for us but you can’t compare him to B.Fernandes who is levels above. Coutiniho is also a near world class player who if we could’ve got we should’ve, GLC as a n.o8 is great but B.Fernandes or Coutiniho as n.o 10’s or Coutiniho coming in off the LW would’ve been epic.
Bruno is 2 years older than Lo Celso. Lo Celso is already great imagine in two years time ?
The difference is that Fernandes is a leader, on and off the pitch. He is the one in training that will smash the ball at people hard and expect them to deal with it. As Steven Gerrard did. As Roy Keane did. We don't have enough competitive leaders. The likes of Lloris, Vertonghen and Lloris are placid 'lead by example' types. We need to look more at the characters of players we are buying. Compare Fernandes with Ndombele. Ndombele is probably the more talented / has a higher ceiling, but I know which of the two will have a better career and will have a bigger influence in the teams he plays for. Mourinho needs leaders in his team. He needs winners.
A bit unfair comparing Fernandes to Ndombele, what was Fernandes doing at Ndombele's age?

I wouldn’t say we lack leaders. Kane, Dier, Lloris, both Belgians, Sissoko, even Dele and Son in their own ways, all have more than enough of that quality between them. Where we are short is balance, we have a lot of easy to watch players but not enough aggression. A top class ball winning midfielder would be worth his weight in gold, there’s be less pressure on the defence, there’d be better cover for the full backs who in turn could have more attacking freedom and the flair players would get the ball sooner once recovered from the opposition. Of course we need to improve in these areas but a 2012 Parker, 2013 Sandro, or 2017 Wanyama transforms everything. All of Lo Celso, Ndombele, Winks and Sissoko would be better playing with that type of player. No it isn't (when considering who to spend £60M on). Buy the player with the stronger character. The point I am making is that we need to buy leaders (as our team does not really have any) if we want to challenge for and win titles. I am fed up buying potential and do not want to start another 5 year plan. For example, buying Jack Clarke was pointless last summer. A waste of £10M. Imagine if we'd used that money to get Fernandes or Dybala over the line?

Also, decrying the signing of Clarke is mental. His £10m fee and roughly £5m wages across his contract would’ve had no impact on signing Dybala or Coutinho, while developing gifted young players is the very thing that progressed us to this point anyway. I’d go as far to say that our stagnation has far more to do with abandoning this policy than failure to buy the finished article.
Probably a back-up GK, CB, RB, LB, DMF, MF, AMF and ST
Would give us a very good shot at the title.
That said, if we only wanted to get into the Top 4 again consistently, then 3 signings would do it imho.
But 8 signings, each improving on what we've already got, is seriously unrealistic.
Jose's scouting network would have to be incredibly good to get that haul of players for under £200m.
I suppose if there's financial turmoil in football after the CV pandemic he might be able to pick players up on the cheap, but like I said, unlikely.
PS Not that I'm entirely comfortable with asset stripping other clubs when they're suffering...

Look I love GLC mate he's probably my favourite Spurs player currently and I think he's a really fantastic top top signing there is no doubting that but right now B.Fernandes and Coutiniho are levels above him, I'm sorry but they just are, slightly different players sure but if we remove the Spurs biased goggles for a minute any neutral fan would rank the 3 players with B.Fernandes or Coutiniho 1/2 and Lo Celso 3. That does NOT mean Lo Celso isn't a good player, he's a brilliant player but if you could've given me a choice of any of the 3 i'd have gone with B.Fernandes or Coutiniho over the other two all day long, B.Fernandes and Coutiniho are bordering on world class, whilst GLC has potential right now he is not at their level. But who would have got the ball to these players? GLC is clearly showing he is the only player able to keep the ball and move it forward so without GLC we would immediately reduce the impact of Coutinho or Fernandes.
Yes Lo Celso could be great in 2 years time, he is also very very good now but right now B.Fernandes is levels above and I don't agree Coutiniho is finished, did you see him against us in the CL he completely destroyed us. Also Bayern are my 2nd team and whilst he's not played every game he's still been brilliant in many many matches for them.Bruno is 2 years older than Lo Celso. Coutinho is finished in high level football. Low confidence and bench player. Can see him coming back to Brazil in two years.
