So the three in, possibly four strategy only looks to have materialised a right back. No forward, and no creative midfielder. It’s going to be a long, hard season

History tells us we need more than just them. from all over the pitch, from a goalscoring pov.

History also tells us that a 19 year old kid can conquer from Germany to India in 12 years. History means nothing when predicting the future.

I think Dele will get into double figures this season, Lucas & Steve B will have better returns this season. Who knows how many PEH might get from CM with the extra freedom he has been given with Skipp in the team?

The whole talk around who will score the goals is so simplistic its ridiculous.

Firstly, we don't need to score more goals this season, that wasn't our problem last season, Chelsea finished 4th and scored 10 goals less than we did.

Secondly, there's a way to get more goals from the team without them having to come from a ST. Adding Traore will open teams up more and likely ensure more assists which in turn will lead to more goals.

Last season we had a proper European competition to worry about (and try to win) - this season we don't. Vinnie only contributed in Europe.

Kane's been injured before and it's been fine. In fact he made more appearances for us last season than he has since 15/16 and it didn't really help us much did it?
We may not need to score more goals my point is where the goals come from. And I agree goals can come from anywhere sadly at Spurs they don't the majority come from Kane and Son. We haven't signed Traore so that's a mute point. And we are still in a European competition no matter how you view it we tried playing with a second string side and were utterly toothless upfront hence the second leg Kane played and took us through with his goals.

All of us early bedwetters have gotten over it, and already changed the sheets. The rest of you are going to have to lie in it for the rest of the day!

Really disappointing. So we really have taken next to no advantage of any teams in financial trouble.

So many strikers have moved for reasonable fees. Ings, Daka, Delort, Edouard, Scamacca and we’re totally absent. Scamacca was a loan with option.

Renato Sanches available on loan. Aouar available on relatively cheap. Thuram available on relatively cheap.

Very confusing strategy to me.

We're done for the window - oh well. I kind of figured this was the case at 8am this morning given the size of the targets and the relative lack of momentum.

Think it's been good in the main, and if Gil integrates properly and starts starting, I think we'll be a good team

Shame about Adama - I think he'd have made us a lot better, but so be it

I expect a contribution from Dele this season, we didn't have him at all last season.
I also think if it's a problem this is probably the season to have it as they are pretty much only going to be playing a game a week this season with other players leading the way in the European conference league.

So predictable, it happens every window. All the info coming in starts off positive and then results in nothing.
