Danny Ings went for 25M I know his wages were beyond what we were willing to pay By Traore at £50M with 2 years left on his contract, that's a big oblige for the manager. Also, I don't really believe we should oblige managers, Players out last managers, So If Nuno is gone in the future we still have Traore.
you would be crazy to think that any future manager we get wouldn't like to have Traore in the team

especially after so many of them have complimented him in the past

We are definitely looking to add one more on top of Emerson, Traore if we can get to a realistic point for both sides(y)
2 more Trix!?
Everything crossed :geek:

Great stuff. Thanks guys for all of your info putting up with the doubters and nay-sayers.

I seem to recall that yesterday, or the day before we were told that we would only sign Emerson if either Aurier or Doherty went. Now, I've been busy with VAT returns ? so I may have missed something, have either of the latter two gone yet?

If we might have 2 coming in as per Herc's info, maybe both are on the way out! An exciting day ahead! ?

If we have the money and this is the one player that Nuno has asked for then we should have no excuses to go and do it. Let's see if we back the Manager or play the 'we tried' line again.

Personally feel lack of options is the only reason we're looking at Traore, and no other team looking to challenge has considered Traore as far as I'm aware. Anyway, I will leave it there. If he does come in I won't be making negative remarks about the guy I try not to with any of our players and would always rather be proven wrong.

Can't help but think that £50m for Traore would be better spent on a creative CM.
Anyone in mind? (maybe don't post the answer to that in here) Don't think we'v been linked to anyone so far that fits that role and is worth £50m.

Hi 24 years old and a beast, he would be a massive upgrade on what we have

And Nuno left Wolves and somehow Traore is still wanted by Wolves. If we want to challenge now for a Top 4 spot we need to be ready to take risks and make investments. And not only in potential. We need quality right now to even have a chance against City, United, Pool or Chelsea.
And mind you this is probably Kanes last season for us, so who knows when we are that close to the top 4 again.
Backing the manager is the only right thing to do.

We were after a second striker (Martinez/Vlahovic) even if Kane stayed, that eventually fell through so we went for Plan B which was Traore, we're now at the stage where we'll all going to be happy if we manage the Plan B as it's looking unlikely. I was hoping with Paratici and his "ten deals on the go at once" shtick that we'd have our options lined up if something proves "too difficult".

Breaking News: Arsenal are still shit

I love deadline day, its like Christmas without the family. Hopefully we announce Emerson this morning so we have the rest of the day to hope for another surprise. I think Traore is the one we should go big on now. We spent 60m on Ndombele for Poch so if we have to spend 50m on Traore for Nuno so be it. At least we know the player is proven in this league.

i think we will regret it if we do not sign Traore, he is a big game player!

I listened to the Wolves Manure match driving home from our game on Sunday.............. yes he is exciting but spending £50M on no end product ............... I can think of better ways to our funds

We need a forward, no doubt. If that's Traore then just pay up and get him, although imo we could spend £50m better.

Then again, in a world where Dan James is worth £30m anything is possible.

Traore is not a high risk signing, unless he ends up with a career ending injury. Bring him in. It's as low risk as it gets.
