Morning all……..

Today finds me in a lazy mood so we delve back in the archives. Three years ago we brought you a piece about Daniel Levy……(There's a shock)

I was in Tesco yesterday morning and spotted Daniel Levy at the checkout. I couldn't help but listen as he fine tuned his technique..............

Checkout Girl: That'll be £156 exactly, do you have a clubcard?

DL: Well i've got this.....(Waves a Spurs shop staff discount card under the girls nose)

Checkout Girl: I'm sorry sir, we don't accept those

DL: How can I pay?

Checkout Girl: Well sir, you can pay by cash or by using your debit or credit card

DL: No no no, I mean can I put half down now, a quarter in a years time and the final instalment after i've made 10 more appearances in this store?

Checkout Girl: Sorry sir?

DL: Tell you what.........I'll give you £90 now in one payment and £30 in 6 months time

Checkout Girl: That only comes to £120 sir. I need £156 in full and i'm afraid you have to pay it now, before you leave the store

DL: I see, playing hardball are we?

Checkout Girl: No sir, i'm just doing my job, now could you please pay the bill sir? There are other customers waiting behind you

DL: Customers my arse, at least two of them are licensed agents hoping to make a few clubcard points on the deal......OK what time do you close?

Checkout Girl: 7pm sir

DL: I'll be back to do a deal at 5 to seven......…..

Old habits are hard to break.

And finally:

I was having an argument with Mrs A&C last night

She said "You treat our relationship like its some kind of game!"

"Unfortunately that has cost you 20 seconds off the clock and 8 points" I replied.

ah the legends of levy. Some would say he metaphorically lurks around the clearance aisle, waiting for the yellow stickers...

anyway, let's hope we get some closure today on some ITK. I'm off to earn a crust....

You can tell that piece was written 3 years ago. Tesco just isn't the place for bargains that it was.

Levy's a Lidl man now (and, to be fair, always has been).

Plus I've heard he's recently gone to Spain to spend a few million Euros on Aldi...

I am sure he didn't mean it, they are not high on his priorities.

Back on ITK info, surprised that Everton haven't been more interested in lennon, thought. We did well for them.
They always plead poverty in the press. 6m is too much, 7m is too much, 5m is too much.. blah blah.

And then you see them being linked to players quoted at double that ( I know it's might not be a target they want)

Been out of the loop for a bit, so may have missed the boat on this one, but re the cryptic:

Small cabbages = Sprouts?
Usually called Brussel's sprouts
Brussels is in Belgium

Apologies if this has been done to death.

Levy's a Lidl man now (and, to be fair, always has been).

In blind taste tests 72% of managers couldn't tell the difference between brand name Schneiderlin and Lidl own label Stambouli...

Hope there is more info on what Lennon gone done - there is no itk better than salacious itk..

Has anyone suggested the big cabbage is mcarthy? (Irish association with cabbage)

Then the sprout would be mirallas? (Belgian)

Just another thought with the latest mcarthy news.

This would lead to the meltdown A&C alluded to yesterday

If the small cabbage means sprout, that would mean Alderweireld.

What's the Irish association with cabbages? I always associate the Irish with potatoes and alcohol.

The reason the cryptic hasn't been resolved yet is because it is sensitive information, so that rules out players widely linked in the media IMO.

It's why I'm hoping for a wet dream like Kramer and Son from Bayer, however that link was pretty tenuous, and would be a miraculous deal if we could pull it off anyway.
