My only concern is alot of what the ITK have said is our movement is based on CE which is understandable but I just hope we arent allowing him to string us along till deadline day then a club comes in last minute offers a sum too good to refuse if he imply he wont sign a new deal.

The ITK is reassuring, I think a lot of people have lost sight of the objectives when the whole Dybala thing came up, with no signs of movement on the Lo Celso thing or the Sessegnon(s) thing since. Then I think, seeing the Europa League team down the road suddenly on the brink of making a huge signing out of nowhere, frustrations came to the surface and a real sense of impatience set in (justified or not). I still expect us to bring in Lo Celso and at least 1 Sessegnon, if we get Eriksen and Toby to stay that'll do me.

This Summer is a real opportunity for us to make a statement and if we miss out because Levy wants to save £5m (or whatever), it'll be a real missed opportunity. Yes we have Ndombele and yes he will plug a gaping hole but the squad needs more plugs than that.

But if the ITK is happy, we'll see how the next week pans out.

This is frankly rubbish. By all accounts only one move pends on Eriksen and that's literally his direct replacement.

Let’s look at this with some perspective as the reactions in here are ridiculous.

We have signed our number one target ndombele as resolved the weakest part of our team last season, we also broke our transfer record

Secondly according to reports and ITK we will also sign lo celso and sessegnon. Sessegnon is young and will improve and lo celso will strengthen our midfield even further.

Thirdly many thought lo celso was a eriksen replacement but it seems eriksen is close to staying and possibly signing a new contract.

Alderweirald also seems to be staying which is a huge positive.

We Havnt sold any big stars or important players, we sold trippier who many didn’t rate anyway and rose who would be a loss seriously hasn’t had his head straight in some time.

Many have lost perspective due to this dybala link and now want to sign dybala, lo celso and keep eriksen I mean come on how we gonna play them all and keep alli, son and moura happy. Let’s be realistic please.

Now your getting a touch of the green eyed monster because the scum are spending more. It’s not how much u spend it’s about the strengthening the areas that need improving. The scum have not addressed their weakness so stop wanting signings to brag about.

I would be very happy with ndombele, lo celso and alderweirald/eriksen staying

Sessegnon and Clarke for the future.

We have had a proper full pre season and no major injury concerns. Kane, alli, eriksen and sonny should all have a better season than last season.

And finally please stop saying we Havnt done our business early. The window shuts early so all business will be done before our first game against villa.

Positive please people

I don't think there have been any "ridiculous" reactions in here. I think they've been perfectly reasonable reactions of concern because time is ticking and our incoming transfer history isn't exactly dynamic.

I’m not worried just yet, I’m hoping we’ll announce a couple of new signings next weekend, might even parade them at HT against inter? I don’t think we are weaker either, Tripps was terrible so he’s no loss, Foyth will be better, N’Dombele & a fit Winks will be quality, the emergence of Parrott could be a real surprise, I’m convinced we’ll bring in 1 or 2 more & with a full summer off for most I think we’ll be raring to go against Villa, I guess we’ll have to see but I think everything will kick off in the next 5 days or so ....... Fingers crossed !!!!

The rollercoaster usually starts after a period of inertia and then external ITK giving negative vibes (like “nothing this week” or “no buying without selling). We are all too ready to believe believe the sky is falling because of our recent transfer history and hurtle down the slope until our friendly ITK soothes us. Hopefully we’re on the up now. At least until we come of the rails on the 8th if Levy doesn’t deliver. I think he will this time, if only because it’s in his business plan.

I think we can allow a few people some over-reactions to let it out of their system. We/they have been burned many times before and especially last summer. Moreover, a growing concern has been triggered today thanks to news Arsenal might be doing some good business, and while we shouldn't be overly concerned with others, and indeed a lot of other clubs haven't done too much as of yet, it does make us look at ourselves a bit more critically. And at the moment we are just where we were at the start of last season with Dembele replaced - though hopefully his replacement won't start konking out, so could be an improvement there, but in other areas we are technically weaker due to some sales. But with that being said, there is still time. We could still get Lo Celso and Sess tied up in the coming week, with a week left beyond that to speculate about perhaps a wild card statement signing and/or Eriksen signing a new deal. Most of what we have heard has been positive and I have yet to hear anything to the contrary, perhaps things are taking longer to iron out for various reasons, but that is just the way of it the majority of the time. Keep the faith.

That is the only bit which is fact. The others aren't done yet. Can't be stated as facts. We are not improved yet from previous seasons. We had dembele who was at his peak. We have now ndombele instead of him who has to settle first. I can't see how this tw is good so far. keep in mind we haven't signed anyone in last two either.

I tend to think of it as realistic rather than negative. One signing in 18 months isn't exactly encouraging for a team that barely scrapped CL qualification last year. I hope we make a couple of good signings too but it all just feels a bit too familiar to feel comfortable at the moment.
You used to be so happy and up for it all those windows ago. Boy, have the last couple have tested you, like all of us...(y) Keep in there. Personal counselling on request folks!

I am happy not to sign Dybala as long as Eriksen stays which I think most people are comfortable about, but the scenario where the uk transfer window closes on the 8th Aug and the spanish window closes on the 2nd Sept leaves us exposed to Real Madrid coming in for Eriksen in that time. What is Eriksen's attitude gonna be because he has stated that he wants to go to Madrid. RM could be deliberately using this ploy to make it easier to sign him cheaply. Are we gonna deny him his dream move and have an unhappy player?

I can understand why everybody is a bit fucked off. Our “skint” arch rivals have just dropped £100m notes today to fill two key positions.

The others are all facts as things stand, and Dembele was not at his peak (injuries forcing less and less playing time) when we sold him.

So right now it’s looking just like GLC and Sess in the door. ITK on the U21 being targeted has went quiet. Pity as I feel we need a bit more than GLC and Sess.
With how quiet it's been, other clubs securing good deals (which is obviously relevant), and all this Dybala stuff, it feels like everything is still very much up in the air. With less than 2 weeks to go, I'm getting the sense anything could happen, good or bad.

With that in mind i'd be absolutely delighted if we 'only' get GLC and Sessegnon in with say Rose out.

Our target signed for another club unfortunately. The other one also signed, in this case, Man Citeh. We were confident, but didn’t work out on either. Very slight possibility on one coming in near the end of window. And they wouldn’t be ready for first team for at least a year, if it happened. Not a certainty though.

When we sign them then it will be fact. Re dembele He was monster until 207-2018 and that is why i said we are no better than previous seasons.

I actually don’t know what has changed. Our targets were and still are Lo Celso and Sess. By all accounts they should happen.

Dybala, none of us really hand on heart thought we would get him without someone possibly CE leaving.

Rose was left at home to find a new club.

Please tell me from the new ITK what has changed to make you all panic?

Its no itk. Its DL. we have seen this dragging things until last week. When you have singled out the players then do it. Look at city they were fast. Now don't tell me regarding their finances. The have signed two players and their record transfer is under 70 mil. Why don't we do it in case of our targets.
