Chiesa is top drawer and he's probably their best player so he's going to be the last one they'd want to sell, even with a 2025 contract. Vlahovic they bought for 70m euro + 10m in bonuses only 18 months ago (about £70m equivalent). They're not going to even entertain the idea if the offer is <£105m/120m euro (70m euro for Vlahovic, 50m euro for Chiesa) as a starting point. If I had to choose one of them it's Chiesa, he's one of the best players in Italy. Throw in another CB, a Gift and a few more outs and it'd be an incredible window*

*I am denying reality and pretending Kane hasn't gone to Bayern for another month or two

**It's also not going to happen but it's fun to think about

I share your admiration for Chiesa, but in all honesty, I think Vlahovic would better meet the team's needs. A true goal scorer is essential, and Vlahovic could serve as the primary focal point, addressing that requirement. While Chiesa would bring valuable qualities to complement the team, having Dusan as the central figure could offer the desired firepower.
Chiesa for me as we could move Sonny up front.

To be fair as much as I like Chiesa more as a player and that he can cover all front 3 positions I do agree with you that Vhalovic as an out and out goalscoring focal point would be more effective but if so I’d still really like us to sign an upgrade at RW on Kulu also whether that is Chiesa or someone else.

Sounds like the focus on departures could be the bit where get unstuck. Especially if any incomings are dependent on that. As we have demonstrated time and again that we struggle relinquishing deadwood. Very disappointed to hear that’s the strategy, but also understand it’s the reality of having a massively bloated squad. Given that, I have a very hard time seeing being able to bring in two players, let alone three by the end of the window.

Fingers crossed for a miracle.
The club is actively refining their spring cleaning process, aiming to secure realistic fees for player releases. Alongside loans, expect permanent transfers for players who should have left long ago.

Can’t say no to another Paratici special. Both are fantastic players. Glad to see that Juve are continuing their irrational strategy of keeping Allegri and selling their best players (y)

Cheers for the ITK WLB!

Would be surprised if they they sold both. Think Vlahovic would be the more likely although don't see us paying €80m for him. Think that's what Juve paid and no doubt they are looking to recoup the fee but think we'd probably be looking at £55-60m with some add-ons max.

Thought Chiesa was brilliant in the last Euros but that ACL injury seems to have set him back and apparently he has been picking up muscular issues since then so don't know if there is any long term effect from the injury.

So let's get Vlahovic now and hopefully pick up Chiesa last knockings when Juve crumble. 😊
I must say its nice to be talking about these two without feeling a bit daft.

Chiesa was a pleasure to watch before his injury. Great dribbler, very fast and had a wonderful shot. Vlahović is a Serbian Krzysztof Piątek, would much rather we sign nobody if we really want him.

Presume signing Vlahovic could end our interest in Orban especially as we still need a winger and CB and I can’t see us doing 4 in at the required level for the amount of money we probably want to spend. We have Veliz as one for the future, and Orban looks expensive for one that we would still need to give time.

Vlhaovic would be my first choice centre forward option to bring in.

Good to hear we might be getting better at shifting our deadwood and at least reviewing this to try and improve it.

Vlahovic would be amazing but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Juve's replacement was supposedly Lukaku but the fans protested that last week so not sure where that leaves them now.

Would you swap him for richy if that was an option

Yes. I like richys pressing but I can't help but feel he's more of a nuisance who would be great to bring on vs tired legs.

Vlahovic was who I hoped we'd replace Kane with in 2021 when it looked like he was leaving us and Dusan was still at fiorentina.

My only worry is, if we really want a striker like Vlahovic- more days we are going to take, more expensive we will end up paying close to deadline.

Let's hope the clubs version of realistic fees are the same as the markets. History has shown there is usually a big difference so won't get my hopes up
