Loving this approach to the window. It's about competition and filling areas of need, not signing 1-2 stars and hoping they can paper over the cracks elsewhere. If PEH goes through, and we can continue the trend with Wilson and Celik, we have already done incredibly well. I still would like to see some focus on youth (much like the Devine signing), but if that needs to wait for a more financially stable time, so be it.

So: PEH done, Wilson keen, serge out with celik castagne and aarons being the replacement options is true, Kim should happen but if the financials aren’t perfect we have options and have plenty of time as it isn’t a priority. Cirkin hugely impressive. Tanguy looks like he could stay and that it’s his entourage pushing for a move, not him (fingers crossed cuz tanguy fighting for his place would be so refreshing and how rewarding for the fans and the club would it be if he won everyone over). His talent is limitless and I hope he realizes it with us and he isn’t looking to leave. The most exciting thing there is the bit about Benrahma, which nobody’s mentioned. We’re missing his type in the squad. He will just take people on and trusts 100% in his talent and skill to beat his man. He’s exciting and electric to watch with his dribbling, and he also has wonderful creativity with his passing and vision. Best player in the championship imo, and I think he’d be a superstar with better players around him and raise his game. Finally, Jose knows what he wants and that there’s no reason that it can’t be done within our financial limits early. Positive signs.

May I again add that difference between Josè and Poch. Josè is a pragmatist and realist. He also has full dossiers on every target he wants. He knows the DNA etc. So DL cannot pull a fast one. Not the first or second time I have mentioned this. Cirkin is ‘a rage’ in training. Said by one of the players, and staff hugely impressed with him.

For the record, I watched Cirkin at the U18 game to open the new stadium and he really stood out. At the time I remember thinking that he played with real maturity so I'm not surprised he's being mentioned now. I'd personally like to see us be brave and start giving him game time this coming season. Palace and Brighton have both put young FBs in to their starting line-ups and it's worked out well.

Good. Hopefully he has a doable release clause and we can get it done quick smart. I like Wilson as a backup that should get consistent game time. Hopefully also means that we’re going to rest Kane more often.

I agree. I think we would struggle to find someone better who would be willing to get limited game time.

Would be a wonderful move for him, so long as he gets playing time. I'm sure he would given Parker's familiarity and Captain Cropcircle mentoring Scott Parker v2.0 is pretty exciting.
