I think Kane, Son, N'Dombele, Hojbjerg and Lloris are your nailed on starters. Aurier is likely going to start at RB but after that it could be Bergwijn or Lucas taking the last spot in the front three and GLC or Sissoko next to Hojbjerg. I don't think Reguilon will play as that would be 3x 90 minutes in 8 days. Leads me to thinking that it will be Alderweireld, Sanchez and Davies alongside Aurier.

Would be nice to see Rodon play though.

Lo Celso or Ndombele are much “safer” than Sissoko.

In our view yes, but he might see Sissoko as more defensive and possible not one two more attacking players in middle at same time.

If Davies plays left back with Reguilòn rested might be ideal time for Rodon to start with his international colleague just to his left to help him bed in.

Also then allows Sanchez to play on his preferred and more balanced right side.

Lloris

Doherty
Alderweireld
Davies
Reggie

PEH
Ndombele
Lo Celso

Bale
Kane
Son

Subs: Hart, Aurier, Sanchez, Dele, Lucas, Lamela, Vinne

Think Bale and Doherty are developing a great understanding. Start Bale to get more minutes, got to play regularly to get that match fitness up.

Assuming Dier is still out, as this is a good fixture for him.

Really should be Sissoko on the bench instead of one of Dele, Lamela or Lucas.

No room for Bergwign or Winks.

Very interested to see which Jose leaves out of the match day squad on Monday.

Only problem is CB for this one. Need big CBs against Burnley. Will Dier be fit. If not is Rodon ready?

It’s so weird to have genuine options

Honestly, there are now multiple line ups you could play and they’d all bring something. Given fitness/freshness and form, I think you could say:

Lloris
PEH
Ndombele
Son
Kane

...will play. Lo Celso and Bale would if fit. You suspect Reggie would it more integrated.

But genuinely we have so many options now.

I thought Doherty looked good. Moura probably played himself into the side. Dele looks better than he has for ages.

Really great.

If we can tighten up at the back we will take some beating this year.

My only regret are the idiotic 4 points we’ve dropped

Lucas, Dele, Winks, Sanchez, Doherty don’t even make my bench. Insane squad depth

I don’t see Jose starting both Gio and Tanguy yet. Gio on the bench and then they flip roles for Antwerp, we need to try to start one every game as the midfield looks stodgy without either, and they aren’t ready to play Monday then Thursday yet. Be interesting to see who gets the third spot up top, maybe Lucas if he goes with the hot hand on tonight’s performances

I would say Lucas is ahead of Stevie now and should start. Bale and Lamela on the bench

I'd be surprised if GLC plays (fitness).. my guess would be

Lloris
Aurier Toby. Rodon. Davies
Sissoko. PEH. Ndombele
Bergwijn. Kane. Son.

I'd throw rodon straight in unless dier is fit. The other option is Davies at CB and reguillon at lb.

Subs - Hart, reguillon (rodon), Sanchez, winks, GLC, Vinicius, bale

The bench is hard - Doherty, Dele, Lucas and lamela could all miss out, which is ridiculous. We have an immense squad these days.

Bale doesn’t look ready to start in Prem to me. I reckon:

—————Lloris
Aurier—Sánchez—Toby—Reguilon
———Hojbjerg—Sissoko
————Ndombele
Lucas——-Kane——-Son

Subs: Hart, Doherty, Davies, Lo Celso, Bergwijn, Bale, Vinícius

-------------Lloris
Aurier Toby Dier Davies
-------------PEH
----Sissoko N'Dombele
-----Lamela Kane Son

I think Davies will get the nod for the physical battle plus Reguilion has played quite a lot of football.

Sanchez will be rested but I think it will be too early for Roden. I expect Roden to get a slow introduction into the team.

Aurier will get the nod over Doherty this game. Going to be an interesting battle between those 2 this season.

I think Sissoko will play ahead of Lo Celso just because of LC's injury recovery.

Up front, I wonder whether Bale will be on the bench and come on for final 30 mins. Lamela for me as a starter if Bale is not there.

Lloris
Doherty Dier Rodon Reguilon
GLC Hojbjerg Ndombele
Bergwijn Kane Son

Id have Sanchez in if Dier isnt fit.

Hart, Sanchez, Davies, Sissoko, Lamela, Vinicius, Bale

Feels fucking hard picking the bench these days.

Depth up front is so good. Seems a bit harsh dropping Lucas after his effort yesterday! Still don’t see GLC and Tanguy starting together yet - especially when we play again Thursday. Tanguy Monday and Gio Thursday is my bet
