Last season I thought BT sport had a lot to do with it, as we were blatantly their carrot to coax people over to them.

How do you mean though, because BT's game is on Saturdays. It would have been great if they'd had more of our games. Sky was to blame, no?

Ok I put 2+2 together and got the wrong answer :wacky:. Fuck Sky then, fuck the Sun, the Times, Talksport, and fuck Clarke Carlisle.

If the whole league's premier though, then they shouldn't rely on particular teams each time to produce a decent match on a Sunday.

Did you see the match on ITV4? He's just a pain to listen to commentating, thinking he's Einstein as he once went on Countdown, when he's just another ITV commentator that's shit on shit.

Bit drunk, but that points still valid ;)

It makes me wonder if there's some underlying anti Semetic agenda where they enjoy making the Spurs team play on the Sabbath.
This has made me think. I don't think there is actually an anti Semetic agenda, as I'm sure you really don't, however, there is obviously a big (practicing) Jewish population in the local area, so presumably they cannot make the games. Shouldn't there be alot of people complaining?

I'd have thought the Sunday issue would only really affect orthodox Jews, and they'd likely put their passion for Judaism above football. They'd have every right to complain though, especially if they had a season ticket!

It's bollocks though, if we really only had 3 out of 38 games played at home, 3pm on a Saturday, then the fixture sorters are absolute ****s.

This season

Well it's not looking good AT ALL for any of you hoping for some Saturday 3pm matches at home. (I know there's some of you out there.) Thankfully and much less annoyingly, it's not so much due to Sky's scheduling, certainly not as much as last season. It's just that every week that we are confirmed for a Saturday kick-off, having not participated in Europa (Assuming we qualify), we are playing away damn it! It has alot to do with the way we are 'home/away ordered.' Can someone explain why we, for example, have two home fixtures in a row in August?

Somehow, both our Arsenal (September) and City (October) fixtures are on Sky's Saturday football, (Even though we're unfortunately away to both) which is somewhat of a miracle considering Sunday ratings are higher. Although, speaking of Sunday's rating higher, it doesn't make alot of sense that Sky have us against Hull on a Sunday, while they have Arsenal v United on the Saturday. I sometimes wonder if Sky know what they're doing.

As it stands, the 6th of December will be our first Saturday home match (v Palace) and as nice bonus, it is 3pm! We should then have Burnley at home on the 20th of Dec, also at 3pm. That is, unless Sky do the unthinkable when they release their December schedule. Surely these won't get picked for TV, will they? Saturday if anything? A Sunday selection would just be a double whammy and I'll probably give up on life altogether.

If we fail to qualify for Europa, it will actually be a very good 2014 this season! (Fixture wise)

Anyone know why we do play 2 home or away matches in a row?

With QPR up again, there's another London team in the Prem. Would it be something to do with the way the league attempts to avoid teams from the same city (if possible) playing home games at the same time?

Working out the fixture list sounds like a nightmare to be honest.

Yeah, that must be it actually, because you can't rotate home/away consecutively between three teams.

Although, Arsenal home and QPR home clash for example next week for the opening match. It must be only to avoid all three at home.

Really?

It's quite simple.

If you don't rotate and play a few home or away games then you would never be able to play some teams at home or away.

E.g if Tottenham and Newcastle play home one week against other teams and then away next week, we would never be able to play them as both would be on a rota to play home.

Jews worship on a Saturday. Have I just answered my entire argument? Does the club make it so that we play on a Sunday as much as possible in order to look after our Jewish fan base?
