So are you suggesting there's an element of selfishness in the argument? The argument of when the game falls can be applied to any day whether that's a Saturday or a Sunday. Perhaps more thought should be given to those that play football on Saturdays and therefore struggle to get to Saturday games.
I was just saying that I can understand Chris's point now though I do think he goes a little OTT on something that's been happening for over 20 years now! Personally I can't get to Saturday games so prefer Sundays.

Yes but you clearly haven't understood. Those people who can't make saturday games are WELL looked after don't you think? By the end of Feb, they will have been able to attend on their prefered Sunday a whopping 17 times! Now what about the ones who can't make Sundays? Well, they will have gotten a very generous 5 by the end of Feb, when we were available to play 8 times on a Saturday instead. Get it now? It's by FAR, worse for the ones who can't do Sunday.

So you only understood my point once you found out that I live in Australia? My opening post said nothing about me and I've continually made it not about me all the way through this thread. How could you not see what I was getting at before you found out where I live?

I hate Sunday matches with a passion. Makes a Sunday so much more enjoyable knowing that you won yesterday and can now watch / enjoy the Sunday games whilst hoping one of your rivals drop points (come on you stokers!)

That said when you lose on a Saturday it kind of ruins your Sunday.

But fuck it, Saturday 3pm is the holy grail for me.

Oh yeah. That's what I wanna hear. Some support for my cause. You're the guy who got fucked for the Stoke match. You get your money back?

I love every Spurs game whether it be Saturday, Sunday or any other day.
People all over the world have commitments, on certain days, so one day isn't better than the other.

The March fixtures have now been confirmed. I'm slightly pissed off. Can't do anything about Cardiff on the 2nd, post Europa, or Arsenal (I guess) as Sunday rates higher, so it at least makes sense. The same cannot be said, however, for Southampton and Liverpool. Thankfully Chelsea is on a Saturday. There is simply no reason that I can see why these can't be played on Saturday. It's ridiculous, Arsenal play City in Sky's Saturday slot, and then us and Liverpool are sky's Sunday slot, surely OH SURELY the game featuring the current 1st and 2nd in the ladder would make more sense to show on the higher rating Sunday! God, someone please help me to understand!

If everyone wants to watch 1 v 2 you can put it on whenever you like and still get viewers. It's like a bonus prime time.

True, but that doesn't explain why we're on the following day. It's not like we NEED to play on that Sunday.

World back on track this weekend.
Saturday 3pm ko.
Just feels right somehow.
Shopping, football, Saturday night out to celebrate or drown sorrows.
Simple pleasures.
Sundays are for cleaning cars, visiting relatives Sunday dinners
and getting your head right for Monday.
Why has the world got so complicated?

Good bump. Long live saturday football.
I think we can say it will live, but not for us. With more than half the matches on a Sunday, it's as good as dead. I thought it would start to improve in the new year, but March is not a good sign. If someone could explain it to me, I'd be alot happier. At the moment it just makes no sense. The club assured me by email that it's the Premier League that decides, so it's the PL that clearly have a bias towards us playing sundays for some stupid reason, even when we can play Saturday and the club just don't question it.

How many 3pm Saturday games did we have last season, or even over the last few seasons?

It makes me wonder if there's some underlying anti Semetic agenda where they enjoy making the Spurs team play on the Sabbath. Not that I'm Jewish and care in that respect, but ffs the "not Saturday 3pm" schedule is relentless.

Last season was 5 altogether with only 2 at home (home the only one that really counts). The kick off time actually doesn't bother me, or even the not playing at home on Saturday it's really just the not playing Saturday. We did have an additional 2 home matches on a Saturday at alternative times. So 4 at home all up. Not great is it.

Last season I thought BT sport had a lot to do with it, as we were blatantly their carrot to coax people over to them. This season though, I can understand matches after Europe, however to be affected in the majority of league games regardless of Europe is bollocks.
