I know he's not on the bench and his time will come, but I'd love to see Spence marauding up and down the right, like Walker used to.
Yea completely agree mate, especially in games like this where we are being forced side to side we need more penetration from the wing backs.

Kulu and son need to offer more. All im seeing if people look for a ball over the top, nobody coming to link up play.

Need to be loud regardless. Hate the fuckers but Liverpool fans always give their players an extra boost regardless of KO time.
This a million times!!!! We use to take the piss out of Arsenal the library and look at it at the moment, more atmosphere at a funeral. The fans getting up for it is worth points. The atmosphere feels like a bunch of tourists got tickets at the moment.

We built this stadium for the atmosphere, shame fans can’t be bothered . I loathe Liverpool with every bone in my body, but they get behind the team and create some noise and spark some energy.

Their formation and agressive style of play always does that. Conte is to passive which leaves us in a 541 formation droping very low without the ball. It does not give fans the joy like Liverpools all out football does

We have to change it

I’d try something like-

Lloris

Sanchez
Dier
Davies

Kulu
Bentancur
Bissouma
Hojbjerg
Perisic

Kane
Richarlison

We need more energy and to be sharper building from the back. Emerson hasn’t been terrible but the reality is every single attack dies the second he touches the ball

Disagree with both. Bentancur’s been running around in circles chasing everything and leaving big gaps in the process that Wolves have strolled through. Kulusevski’s barely had anything.

No one’s had a good game. Perisic probably best of a bad bunch:
To be fair on Bentancur mate everytime he’s been given the ball he’s had about 4 players around him in the middle, but yea he’s not been at his best today.

Pretty meh all over the pitch. There is a case for most of the players to get pulled at half time.
Really slow and ponderous play for whatever reason.

I don’t understand whether Bentancur is trying to initiate a press or not, he goes and then seems to get passed around a lot.

One thing that has been really noticable for me is that both CMs have been receiving the ball with their backs to the opposition goal. Does my head in as it limits their options on where the ball goes next.

Do they not coach how to receive the ball on the half turn anymore?

Like last week, it's impossible even for top tier world class players to play on the turn if you've got the opposition right up ya pressing with intent. Teams play an extra midfielder so can go man for man press on our two CM's with one mopping up. Chelsea last week, same this week, knowing our patterns of play and where we want to play the ball through.

But if they're pinning down the centre mids, someone else has to do something different. Ping a pass into the front from the back, centre backs carrying the ball forward through the initial lines of defence, etc, or simply just do the patterns of "up, back, through" better... We have to find the solutions.

Presumably if we're playing three at the back, they need to do more than just being defensively solid?

Neither Davies nor, in particular, Sanchez is good at that, which means we're basically a man down in midfield for little advantage.
