I’m still holding out hope that this is the real line up. Fuck the other one

I really hope we see some semblance of the old Kane up top tonight - the one who would chase and (pardon the pun) harry the opposition and really set the pressing tempo from the front.

Happy with the CB pairing, not happy with the CM pairing, guessing Lucas is injured. What I will say is it’s probably the quickest and most energetic team he could’ve picked so perhaps the thinking is to outfight utd early, add Lo Celso or Ndombele or both later for control.

The neglect of our midfield in recent years has been an outright disgrace. No Wanyama replacement despite the fact that five transfer windows have now passed since he fucked his knee. Belatedly replaced Dembele six months after he'd left the club, and the replacement (understandably) has needed time to settle. Never got an Eriksen deputy despite Poch wanting one for years so we remain dependent on one midfield playmaker who, wouldn't you know it, has struggled with injury.

Hopefully Winks and Sissoko will be at their best and we can compete, but United's midfield is miles ahead of ours on paper and there's no one to blame but Levy.
This. We negligently waited fucking years to sign some proper midfielders, and then of course GLC caught the Spurs injury curse and fuck knows what happened to Ndombele.

Midfield is where games are won and lost, and I haven't missed watching teams waltz through our weak-ass midfield over the last few months.

I support all our players and I hope we do well tonight, but we've seen this script before.

Son or Bergwijn on the left?

Both prefer that position

Wouldn't be surprised to see Son on right as he switched there earlier under Mourinho when Sessegnon came on during a game.

Although guess they can switch about.

Maureen dastly plan, get f***** over in the first half, Utd get complacent and he puts 5 subs on at halftime

Well, my expectations have been thoroughly subverted. Thanks, Kathleen Kennedy.

And are people really surprised with no Lo Celso or Ndombele? Come on, its clear Lo Celso has been struggling in the build up, and Ndombele is lucky he even has a Spurs career because past Mourinho, in a much stronger position in his career and team he has available, would have almost certainly banished him for his silly bollocks, he's going to have to work damn hard and then when he gets his opportunity continue to show the right application. He was never coming back into the team from the off.

I reckon Jose is going to go all early Poch and play Son left wing back with Dier, Sanchez and Davies in a back 3 (yes I am half joking).
