They didn't cheat, it was a penalty, they won. Deal with it.

You just sound bitter.
It was a penalty, though a harsh one. But they game managed, time wasted after the second minute, intent on killing the game, and the ref let them do it. That for me is whats frustrating. We didn't watch a game of football. The ball was barely in play.

At one point Liverpool had a corner but before there was a substitution which takes about twenty seconds or so. James Milner didn't move from around the half way line until the substitution was finished.

The throw ins were crazy as well, and liverpool kicking the ball away on a few occasions.

I hate this because it ruined the match, and the ref did nothing about it, just prompting liverpool to take it. Honestly, I do not see why this just isn't talked about.

If Alexander Arnold got booked early it would have been a completely different game. I just don't get why referees are so reluctant to do it.

Liverpool only had two shots on target, not counting the penalty and 38% possesion. We had 8 shots on target. Which is actually higher than the average..

The penalty killed the game, and left the world with a really bad impression of the two teams. It was a complete slog of a match. We could of done more, but Liverpools plan was to turn it into that.

So I feel a bit cheated. Not by losing, but I feel cheated out of a football game. And if the referee books a player early for timewasting maybe we would of had one..

They didn't cheat no.

The sad reality is that while we were having team talks about pride and passion they were having discussions about targetting the arms of opposition players in the box.

Sadly that is the difference between winners and losers at the highest level. We would never have got past Ajax if they had that kind of big game thinking.

When has a red ever booked a player early for time wasting? I can't think of a game. They knew how to handle the occasion, they learnt the lesson from last year. Time and again we don't. We need some more experience

We had 8 shot on target but did Allison have to do anything? No. All easy saves that even I could make. We played alright up to the attack. Then we were hopeless.

I’d be putting the team through the RINGER day 1 of preseason. Just all shooting/finishing drills and set piece defending drills. It was the same all season(again) with us. Shot ourselves in the foot and horrible finishing.

At least if we managed to shoot ourselves in the foot we were on target with something....let's think positive here (y)

Still totally gutted. Proud but shattered. Hopefully this type of big game disappointment drives them on next season.

At the moment though it's hard to shake the feeling that this was a once in a lifetime chance gone begging.

It was a shitshow no mistake.
I dont think Salah was taunting our fans, was just being a twat.
I was saying yesterday I wondered what the rest of the world made of that game. Now we know. Was embarrassing.
No yellow cards sums it up for me. That shows a total lack of fight. No other team goes behind in a CL Final and does that. No one. Fk even Dier seemed resigned to us losing as even he didnt pick one up.
Those chances we never took, Son getting through, Delis 3 v 3 with the most wasted pass of the whole match was just awful.
Fk fuckety fk fk.
I'm done with it now. Its over. Time to move on.

He is right, those two were our worst players (again).
Thats why I didnt understand Moura being dropped. Why was it a choice of Moura or Kane? Alli has been below form for months, ok he set up the winner in the semi but Moura fkin scored 3!!! Eriksen hasnt exactly been setting the world alight either and Son looks exhausted as well.
For me Alli is the one who should have been benched and brought on if Kane wasnt looking sharp but easy to say after the event.
Ok, now I'm done.
Unless someone makes another interesting point lol.

I do wonder if Sissoko should have clattered the crap out of one of their players*, when he knew he was going to get subbed.

Just to shake the game up a bit and get tempers frayed.

Liverpool were sitting in at that stage so it would have been good to rattle them.

I think this is an example of 'game-management'.

*Probably Salah; he doesn't like it up him!

Such a shame, Poch talks about being Brave, Brave would have meant leaving Kane on the bench. The game was crying out for Lamela, sadly he never got to see any off it. Our play is too methodical and slow. Hate to say it, but if we played a more one touch game similar to the Gooners sides of the past we will open up teams more easier. We void of movement off the ball. Poch's trust in the players bit him badly, his reluctance to effect the game needs some thought. For this education it was great for us fans not. Upwards and onwards. Enjoyed every min of it, let's hope for many more.

I am actually more downhearted about the result now than I was at FT.

Such a shame, and a missed opportunity. A potentially once in a lifetime shot at the biggest prize and it didn’t even feel like a proper battle out there. I have to put it down to the heat because otherwise I can’t see why this game was such a damp squib (from both sides).

Their recent CL final experience will have been crucial for them, and it’s very rare that an underdog side can win a final like this. It doesn’t make it any less painful though.

Totally agree but this is were we have to learn. Poch mentioned it last year about Juve cuteness in 2nd leg to control/kill the game. As much i hate it we need to do same. Things like tackle on rose, our players need to realise there is no advantage stop play and make the ref give free kick.

I notice the poll on that paper gave Kane a zero too .

Still fretting here that he started the match , disrupting a performing forward line and that with all his biometrics
and info , Poch just said 'Harry's fit , he plays',(was he really fit ? ) ignoring the evidence of his eyes re Kane's form this year and especially after injuries .

Really annoys me that we still haven't learnt to shithouse, been saying it all season we need to be more ruthless and nastier.
