He might be a bit of a dick but I quite like Carragher. Doesn’t seem to want to lay into us unlike a few Sky pundits. Easy to say when we’ve just walked to victory, but he seems quite reasonable in comparison to some.

Feel this is pretty narrow minded analysis from MNF here focussing all on Kane because there's plenty of good aspects to pick out from today and to therefore gauge how we can fare for the run in against our competitors.

Quite. First answer post match, gave no credit to anyone bar Kane. What a dick. Used to be my hero as a kid, I saw him in Glasgow airport a few months back, half wish I’d given him a slap across the chops

Not one mention of Kulu so far post match
He’s an ex-striker so he’s sees the game through a strikers perspective.

I thought the insight re Kane’s goals was very good.

The commentator cracked me up when he was asked if he thought the front 6 for Everton were an issue and he said no. They created fuck all all night but it's all the defence's fault. Not saying the Everton defence weren't shit but the attack were awful too.

I like that he rarely brings up the club in a negative way. He doesn't lean towards 'needs to move' as most others do, Ferdinand especially.

Yeah I'm liking him a lot more these days.

Our goal difference went from -1 to +8 in two games. Arsenal are at +12. Which means we may even sneak ahead of them on GD if we beat them and they lose one more game. This can be huge.

Years ago, I read Tony Cascarino's autobiography (in the days before he became an acknowledged writer) and he described his relationship with Sheringham when they played together at Millwall. At that stage, Cascarino was a normal working class lad who couldn't believe his luck to be paid to play football, and he couldn't come to terms with the fact that Sheringham was a completely self-entitled prick. (He did, however, have the humility to acknowledge that Sheringham's footballing ability was at a completely different level to his own.)

That I can understand but it’s not like he just got carried away with Kane and forgot about the rest, he proactively chose to give a negative reaction when asked if any credit should go to other players outside of Kane.

Very odd. Doherty, Kulu, Bentancur, and a fair few others were very good. Kulu was my MOTM I’d say, and for goodness sake Doherty set up BOTH of the said Kane goals !

there is a reason why he’s our top scorer from another team :D

but honestly, I’ve said it before too. So much better than that rat bastard hypocrite Neville.
