Welcome to Mourhinos world.
I've already written off the next 2 years with Mourhino (if he lasts that long)
Levy won't be backing Mourhino like his last clubs did.
Mourhino will either get the hump and leave or our players will leave in search of trophies.
I know which one I prefer.

I don't think Mourinho's agent would have risked him going to Spurs without Levy agreeing to back him in the transfer market.

I expect he's already feeding Levy the players he thinks will help.

Otherwise this is a completely foolish appointment!

We found the best manager this club has had since Burkinshaw, and not only did we not back him, we sacked him instead. Jose is a short term solution, designed to get the most out of what we have, and boost that share price while he's here, and get us through to the summer.

I'm laying bets now that he's gone by the summer, and we'll be going for the latest flavour of the month coach again.

We better hope he gets backed then.
I don't see it myself but hey you never know.

We had a plan - which was signing hungry young players from home and abroad. That was what Poch’s team was built on. And then we just stopped, thinking the squad was hard to improve, instead of buying young players to replace certain ones that we could sell or weren’t good enough.

Dortmund are constantly stockpiling young players for the future and then have someone ready to come in when they have to sell a star or replace someone not performing, while we just let the weeds get tall.
Problem was many PL are now also very wealthy, didn't need to sell their best young players and also now were in the same market themselves for those young players meaning all of a sudden not so many 5m-15m bargains to be had and Levy probably a little less interested in that 'project'...

We have to buy for the short term. Who knows, if we buy right then whos to say they can't work out as a viable back up for the long term? Kinda like our current keeper, who thought at the time it was an odd buy yet here he is our current number 1 now lloris is out. Yeah he's not the best but more than adequate as back up. No top level striker is gonna come to us whilst we have Kane. That's clear. Let's just hope we buy someone with attributes that allow them to be useful to our style of play rather than just players with a sexy profile that don't fit in with what we have or are trying to build towards
