Next weekend is going to be massive , but putting aside our hatred of the scum and all that....what result do we want,do we want utd to beat them and help us cement our CL position or do we want the scum to beat utd so we can finish above them?? i suppose it depends on our result against city.
Draw would be great i suppose, but who would we really want to win?

As you said depends on City. If we lose to City i'd probably like Utd to win.

If we beat City or draw with them then draw or Arse win.

As I can't help for the first time this season, I'm begginging to look up the table and enjoying the gap below us. For that reason it has to be the scum. I think and hope we can maintain our consistansy for the rest of the season and the scum won't catch us anyway.

Draw for me then if someone had to win I would want United to win, hate Arsenal and would really keep the belief going that 3rd place is ours to lose, even if we do lose to City.

United will drop more points so I would much rather have Arsenal maybe get kicked out of the Champions League and us finish 3rd than us finish 2nd and them be 4th. Maybe that is the wrong way to look at it but I feel like losing that money would be huge for us to make even more gains on the scum.

I know it sounds maybe defeatist to say Arsenal instead of United but our run is pretty brutal coming up so I just want to make sure 3rd is ours and worry about first and second after Feb.

Its one of those where the only result I don't want is a Utd win.

I honestly believe we'll amass enough points to secure Champions League football - so I'm (finally) coming round to SP's way of thinking from weeks ago that we should be hoping for the title contenders to slip up as much as possible.

Believe.

I can't see us goin all the way and winning the title (probably more through tempting fate than actually not believing) so on that premise I want a draw or Utd to win, just to ensure the teams outside the top four drop points.

A draw, with lots of injuries and red cards please.

Having said that, it's one of those rare occasions where every possible result will have a positive spin to it.

A guy i work with has predicted we'll beat city away and man u at home in March, but before that, the arse will beat man u and us, therefore keeping everything really tight at the top!!

Draw or an Arsenal win.

Think Man Utd could begin to really struggle and would like to see their current poor form continue (FA Cup result aside).

Assuming for the moment we beat Wolves (no disrespect intended to Wolves), then the gap between us and Arsenal stays the same in the event of an Arsenal win anyway, but we claim 2nd ahead of United and pile the pressure on them even more.

Arsenal will always have a shocker and lose a game they're not supposed to, but Man Utd by and large stay consistent, so whilst they are waning, keep em down, but Draw is probably the ideal result for us really.
