Lastnites great result has hopefully blown the battle for 3rd and 4th wide open again, massive game between chelsea and woolwich on sat. a draw would be great and my first choice as both would drop points, but which team would you prefer to win ? chelsea winning would give us a great chance of 3rd, but the scum winning would surely put us clear favourites to finish ahead of the chavs and 4th, all this providing we don't fuck up and the barcodes hopefully start dropping points of course..... remember the draw is not an option, hard call i think.

Scum to win 4-3 after no class knuckleheads going 3 up. However an almighty 22 man brawl erupts after Terry breaks RVP's legs, after he scores the winner, leading to both teams having 3 sent off from each team and points deducted from the subsequent fall out. Us and Geordies finish 3rd and 4th, the other two clubs spend the summer complaining.

Yeah, I'd take mass casualties and a Chelsea win.

This is of course assuming that we are capable of taking care of our own end of the bargain. Which at the moment I'm unconvinced about!

Honestly don't care about their game at the moment. Until we get a win under our belts other results are fairly meaningless. Arsenal's slip up last night has technically let us back in but we look like a drained team at the moment so I'm not sure it'll make any difference.

If we beat QPR then maybe we can start looking for other results. Until then I'm just worried (very worried) about us.

If we were playing before them and beat QPR then I'd rather Chelsea win. But we're not, so I'm going for Arsenal to win.

Yes, it would be great to finish above Arsenal but sadly that's something we don't need to be concerning ourselves with. We'd have to win all 5 of our remaining games and with it being an 'easy run-in' and 3 of those games being away against 'lesser' opposition, I really don't see us magically pulling the passion and skill needed to do so out of our arses!

I am normally a fairly optimistic guy, but after that Arsenal game we have just imploded, at this rate we will be lucky to get sixth. Really disappointing considering what we were like in January, the players obviously have to shoulder a lot of the blame, but ultimately Harry and the England job availability have destroyed us. Retrospectively would have been better for him to leave when Capello left, rather then wait till the summer or just come out and lie and say no he doesn't want the England job.

As for Saturday, its the last big game for both teams in the PL, we need a win to make up some ground on the scum or put some distance between us and the chavs. I have lost faith in Harry, need the players to show the desire and bring us and the new boss CL for next year.

Dream scenarios aside, looking at where others are is counter-productive as you have no control over the outcome. I agree we need to focus on our game and get some points on the board, however we are desperately short of self belief.

We need to rediscover that psychological advantage in order to get the job finished, but it's hard to see as the dark side of the force clouds everything.

Chelsea win for me. We have five winnable games coming up, I know we have been shocking, but it can't last. I am expecting preformances now, like after we went out of the FA cup to Pompey 2 years ago. We are going to win them all.

I want 3rd place, we deserve 3rd place in my opinion after being in the paosition for such a long time, I don't want to us to have to go through the qualifying for the CL. I want us in, so we can relax all summer and try and get our transfer targets in as early as possible.

We have been handed a huge lifeline, one that I really didn't think that we would get, lets capitalise, please.

I just can't make a decision, my heart says Chelsea as I deep down I know there is still a good team in spurs and we can win our remaining fixtures! But my head is saying scum as we just look so fragile now it's ridiculous. We really are limping over the line!! I'f arsenal win this one and we beat qpr then we are within touching distance I reckon. What with 2 home games left, I would fancy us to do it. It's so close though, a very nervous few weeks coming up!

Chavs...because, as Matty says, we have to see an upturn now, surely. If we do,we have five winnable games (as opposed to five games we will win - clarification for the dullards out there who need everything spelt out for them ;)), and the simple fact is that, sadly, Cheslea can ride a year out of the CL and will still be able to attract players by offering them humungous wages, the Goons can't. Failure to qualify for the CL would be a major blow for them.

Also, I actually thought we were quite good on Sunday - until 'Arry decided to take VDV off and put Defoe on, defyinig all logic and experience based learning, and they scored another goal. I was not troubled by the Sunderland draw, thought it was a good point. So, the only really bad perfromance afaiac, was the Norwich debacle. This MUST fire the players up - if it doesn't they don't deserve to be gracing the Spurs shirt.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

i think we have to just concentrate on ourselves, we have been to focused on what everyone else is doing that we have forgotten how to win games.

Draw... that way if we only draw at QPR or even lose (and QPR have been good lately), then the other result has mibute impact.
Win at QPR and we gaing ground over Arsenal and pull away a little from Chelsea.

First things first though is our performance and result. We simply have to win and start picking up points and the other results will be what they be, but I think a Draw suits us best.

Arsenal to win for me.

If we're to finish 4th we need to win most of our remaining games and frankly we're not likely to catch Arsenal in 3rd given our current form.

The fact that 3 out of our remaining 5 games are against teams battling against relegation is going to make it tough for us.

Being optimistic i would say we'll get 10 points from our remaining 5 games. But i think we can make 4th with 9 or more points. So really we need 2 wins and 3 draws as a minimum. Or ideally 3 wins.

Arsenal, assuming they beat Chelsea will still take at least 10 points from their remaining 4 i'd say. So if Arsenal win this game then it gives us a better advantage over Chelsea, who on current form could get some serious points in the bag still this season.

Newcastle i reckon will also take 7 points from their remaining games with Chelsea taking 10 points

Leaving the final positions as:

3rd: Arsenal - 74 points
4th: Spurs - 69 points
5th: Chelsea - 67 points
6th: Newcastle - 66 points

exactly. lat night was great but the way i look at it is, win our last 5 games and we are sure of 4th and more than likely 3rd with little help from maybe chelsea and definitely stoke. end of.

Choosing between them is like having to choose to go down on either Pat Butcher or Pauline Fowler. You know what ever one you go for you're going to end up with a sour taste in your mouth.
