Good point. Ramos knows what it takes to break into the top 4 of an elite league, Jol didn't

To say that Jol didn't know how to break into the top 4 but Ramos did is strange since they both asked for the same type of signing - experienced defenders .

Jol getting given Kaboule and Ramos Woodgate and Gilberto only shows that Ramos stands a better chance of actually getting the tools he needs .

I respect Ramos for saving Robinson's blushes and prefer his management style of maintaining a distance from his charges .

He has got the boys doing a good job of not allowing the opposition to settle but we are not yet playing any better than during the last 12 matches of last season .

Judge Jol on his record , not on what he might or might not have achieved had he been given time and had the support of his superiors which he clearly didn't at any time this season .

if Berba scored that chance in last mint in added time against Everton and we kept it 1-0 against Man Utd too in last mint in added time. we could have a chance to do it in this season and challenge for top 4 place.

we lost 4 possible pts in last mint of last two games could be vital for CL push

current league table:
4- Everton 44 ( -1 if we beat them )
5- Liverpool 43 ( one game in hand vs West Ham )
6- Aston villa 41
7- Man City 41
8- Blackburn 39
9- Potsmouth 38
10- West Ham 36
11- Tottenhan 29 (+4 if we beat Everton and Man Utd )

the difference could be reduced to only 10 pts and 13 games left. but now it will be almost impossible.

Forget about the if's and but's, Spurs_Q8.

We didn't beat Everton. We didn't beat ManUre.

I think we can hope for 7th this year if we can put a very good run of form together. Everton, Pool and Villa are just too strong for us to catch. The others are definitely possible. City are in free fall atm, and I expect at least one of Blackburn, Pompey and West Ham to crack as well.

Can't help thinking something got lost in translation there. Levy said the squad was good enough to challenge the top four in August. £20 million ago!

He did

And seeing that our squad in August was better than Everton's who are currently 4th he has been proved right.
