To be honest he's probably doing the best thing by putting this season in the hands of their kids. They've got talented young players, no way to bring in anybody else and a season where nothing is especially expected of them so why not use this season to blood some youth and still get top 6? If two or three step up thats huge for any team and next season they can spend and add to them with a foundation of talent.

Oh I 100% agree, I actually think the transfer ban was the best thing that could have happened to them in a round about way, it’s made them play Mount, and Abraham and others and they will actually get to see if they can make it at this level instead of being out on loan forever.

I just keep hearing people mention it like it was always going to be the plan and I wonder if Lampards getting a lot of credit for something that was essentially forced upon him.

I think Villa are gonna go down. They have a few decent players but overall they spent pretty badly and don't look good enough either going forward or at the back.

When you have the extra man you have to be confident in your advantage and attack teams.

They don't last 90 mins, that's their problem. They look decent for 60 mins and then they slowly fall off a cliff.
