I've felt for some time that Poch has an element of self sabotage underlying his perfectionist nature and his stubbornness in playing wrong formations/wrong players etc is part of that so for me sadly I think he should go
Apparently not, scat - it doesn't give me that option in the edit. I think you can only do it when you first post the poll and I neglected to do that.@rez9000 are you able to edit the poll options to tick the Show Who Voted For Which Option checkbox? If so, please can you enable it? (I wish every poll on SC did this by default, and you had to make the extra effort to turn the option off if you had a particular reason to hide people's votes.)
He can turn this around but he needs help from the fans and from the board.
He can fuck right off as far as I’m concerned. I’ve been clapping along with this circus since we were still trotting out the “but the World Cup made us tired” excuse for his incompetence.
No longer.
I actually can’t believe 55% of people want him to stay.
I love a bit of deluded, misplaced and baseless optimism but fuck me.
Our last three league finishes have been 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
This season, I imagine 5th or below as things stand.
He had a two year honeymoon period when he joined the club and the steady decline has been happening ever since, with the last 12 months being complete and utter dross.
Any notion that he’s the man to turn this around is a delusion you’ve come up with yourself because there is zero evidence to back it.
On number 2, if Poch is only good for creating a pretty good team with youth from a bad situation but ultimately having no trophies to show for it, surely it is time for him to go. Our group of players are too good to just have a full youth rebuild and leave empty handedIn.
On the basis of two things -
1) Bin this shitty formation and go back to what brought you success in footballing terms on the pitch.
2) Bin the players who are supposedly "agenda" driven in the dressing room. You've done it before you can do it again. There must be some youth who will once again listen to you and run through those metaphorical walls.
Bar fighting for forth in the league and the F.A Cup (if that floats your boat) this season can 'get in the fucking sea'.
Anything else is guess work unless someone comes up with some nailed on info that's as transparent as that box David Blaine sat in years ago and tried to be the smartest magician in the room with.
True he has to be given huge credit for so much but also league was weak when he got us 2nd and 3rd, since then we’ve unfortunately gone backwards2nd, 3rd and 4th. Did you ever envisage us finishing that highly and that consistently?
You might want to ask who's responsible for setting your expectations so high.
We've got problems at the moment, and he's very much part of those problems but you could have a bit more respect for how far he's brought us.

The youth would be interim, wouldn't they? I don't expect another '5 year project' but if there are players not pulling their weight then surely you have some youth who could step in.On number 2, if Poch is only good for creating a pretty good team with youth from a bad situation but ultimately having no trophies to show for it, surely it is time for him to go. I'm sorry but the bigger picture here is that Poch is not going to change, he has far too much foolish pride, he insists with the the diamond formation that just doesn't work, he puts players in positions that don't suit them, and a lot of people in this thread are saying, oh let's see what happens next game....hmm yeah give him time I think he just needs more time to change things...let's hope he will stop using the diamond formation. I mean seriously, wake up! All this wishful thinking is not going to happen. He has lost most of the dressing room, and things are rotten to the core at the club. Poch only sees things HIS WAY and will never change, that's just the type of person he is.
I can't believe almost 50% want him to go. Yes, he's persisted with this diamond nonsense for quite some time without success, and yes, his media comments have been unhelpful. But Levy has to take responsibility for not shifting players that should have been shifted. And the players have to take responsibility too. However bad you think our tactics were tonight, we were not getting battered until players switched off.
Who is responsible for motivating and managing the players?
Take your time.
