Poor from ndombele but let’s ignore winks sure eh ? Nah don’t think so ! Look at the state of winks attempting to tackle twice brutal !! People think he is a wonder player bang average
Or let’s talk about Winks in the Winks thread like 300 people are already and just focus on the fact it’s a fucking shambles from our record signing who had only been on the pitch 10 minutes and should have been busting his nut.

It's so obvious it's now a joke. We know he lacks fitness so you play him in the number 10 position until he gets up to speed. When he is up to speed you play him in a CM2 or CM3

We know he hasnt got fitness or mangers trust to track back like lo Celso or Winks so play him alongside Bergwijn and Dele/Lucas

Every week progressing his minutes until he does 90
Why should he be indulged?

Needs a rocket up his arse, not mollycoddled - we have to expect a lot more than what he's given us and the fact that him just being able to complete a full 90 as some kind of magical milestone to celebrate speaks volumes.

Certainly not disputing his talent and i'll caveat the above by stating he absolutely needs a better preseason under his belt but if he doesn't hit the ground running (quite literally!) and still unable to reach full match fitness then he deserves every criticism coming his way.

No excusing that. Fix up or fuck off.

Like any fans, we can tolerate poor performance, but not coasting along. Thats just lazy and another example of why I said hes taking the piss.

People said 'do you think he's doing it on purpose?'.

He's the only one that would know, but what we can see is that he's not putting the effort in on purpose.

Would much rather have someone giving 100% and failing than someone who puts fuck all effort in and still fails.

I love Ndombele but that clip is absolutely embarrassing considering he came on a few minutes before that. He has the potential to be one of the best midfielders around but you can’t escape the fact that the clip is shocking. There’s blatantly something very wrong with his fitness levels. I still think after a season he’ll get much more used to the pace of the PL and be so much better next year but there’s no defending that clip, purely because it was minutes after he came on.

Fans are much more forgiving to someone who gives their all.

Last part is probably overlooked. I'd imagine Pochettino was a big reason he agreed to join us, then he leaves and Mourinho comes in and, rightly or not, calls him out for his fitness.

I personally think 200k a week was also a huge reason. Call me a cynic.

That clip tells me it's not just a fitness thing. That's about desire and heart. And clearly he has zero on what we've seen. Really poor from him

Not even sure if its fitness levels anymore. Most of us who are not athletes would run harder to win the ball. Has to be attitude

Maybe the money has got to him? 3 years ago he was getting French league 1 money. He now probably earns 20 TIMES that amount

lol you do realise Winks had played the whole match while NDombele had probably only strolled around for 10 minutes at that point?

There was a time Dembele was useless and strolling around as well, when he could get into the team at all. Talks about shipping him out to Sunderland. Things can change, and Ndombele clearly needs to be worked on.

I don’t think we have any choice given the fee.

Play him in the middle instead of Dele, just behind Stevie and Moura. If we can get the ball into his feet in between the lines he could do some real damage.

I remember an article which was shared around the time we signed him where there was an interview with him where he basically said that he struggled mentally with the game for a while. It seems like whilst he’s clearly talented he’s not currently or naturally got that elite mentality and desire and he’s also quite mollycoddled and weak physically, quite worrying to be honest,

yeah but he comes from the french league where running 10 yards is loads easier. when he gets up to speed running on premier league grass you'll see him run more often then.
