And Inter ?A bit like Royal he is a full back and if our system demanded full backs they would both be very good. However it doesn’t and therefore we need to move them on for the good of the club (as they can’t play the position we require) and them (decent lads with a high ceiling in their best positions).
No more thinking people will grow into roles they aren’t suited too.
In terms of the Sevilla link. I’m a bit sick of Spanish clubs thinking World Football should do them a favour. If they want him pay the price or take the obligation. Otherwise see you later
I don't think we would mind that as we would make a reasonable profit on what we owe. Thst makes it unlikely though.I'm really surprised there hasn't been any obvious interest in him. He's an excellent LB and probably available for a decent price. I can only imagine we're holding on to him so Madrid don't have enough time to activate their buy back clause and flip him.
I think Sess has two big positives over Reggie. One is his height and overall physique. The second is his calmness for that pass across Liverpool’s box for Son to score. Those two are why he’s on the plane.I don't think there's much difference between Sess and Reguilon tbh. I think with Sess, there is hope that the knack he displayed in the Championship for sniffing out goal scoring positions will re-emerge and he will have a high output. Reguilon has never looked like a natural goal scorer, although he has got into some good positions.
Ultimately though, I think the HG status is what wins it for Sess. Perisic is our #1 LWB, he has more than the other two put together imo and we can't keep them both on the books.
Actually, online data says Sess and Reggie are the same height. Wow, would not have thought that.I think Sess has two big positives over Reggie. One is his height and overall physique. Personally, I think he is a poor defender, a real panic merchant. He is better in the opponents half, and has a decent aerial ball into the box, but his weighted passing into the danger area is as poor as his finishing. Sess is better all round imo, and has more scope for improvement. He should learn a lot from Peresic.I'm really surprised there hasn't been any obvious interest in him. Yeah when CL regulars/cup winners like Sevilla and Villareal are struggling to pay over 20m for a single signing you know there's a huge disparity in Europe.Very little money in Spanish football at the moment. Going to be difficult to sell Reguilon or Lo Celso for their value.
I personally think he can make a great wing back but it seems that ship has sailed, I don’t think it’s his fault, sometimes you dont get the rub of the green
He hasn’t been reliable due to him constantly struggling for fitness and constantly lacking match sharpness due to match fitness
I actually think his technique isnt great. First touch, control under pressure are all irratic. He has the technical ability to be a great wing back but he's been extremely wasteful in good positions. His pace and runs off the ball are great, but he has massive brain farts and constantly made the wrong final ball. Sessegnon is much calmer in the final third.

Sessegnon is a better defender than Reguilon. He also is far superior in the final third in terms of chance creation and shooting. Only problem is his glass hamstrings. Reguilon is faster and has more confidence but less output. Conte has clearly decided Reggy is not up to it otherwise he would not have bought Perisic and left Reggy out of the South Korean tourI've always liked him so it's a shame to see him being cast out like this. I think he has all the attributes to be coached into an effective LWB and with us signing Perisic I would've thought it buys more time to do this but it seems Conte is plumping for Sessegnon out of the two.
