If Jose trusts Cirkin then surely we have to use him as a back up lb to the first choice, otherwise we’ll have another kwp situation where he doesn’t play for a season. We can’t stagnate Cirkin so either he’s back up or out on loan for me.
Exactly. If Jose rates Cirkin as highly as we are hearing, he needs to be rotated in for Davies on occasion to give him some first team experience. What's the point in arguing that it's risky playing Cirkin because he has no experience, if we're not willing to give him a chance to get some first team minutes in the first place.

A loan to Fulham would be perfect for him and Skipp. Neither got much of a look in under Mourinho last season, and that's hardly going to change when we improve the squad.

@premierleague
& he didn’t do enough to keep us in there. We get 2 loans I can’t be in the business of developing other people’s players when they don’t have time to play them"

Looks like someone's bitter for leaving them......

Must have been the 18 year old kid's fault they got relegated, wonder if they have a youth team goalkeeper they can blame when they inevitably go down again this year

RS has had injuries and 2 managers a worldwide pandemic, people cut Ndombelle slack but not RS who is only 20?

he will get game time we have europa league and i can see Jose using it to get players like Rs game time, the only problem is if you play Crikin, and we sign a young english full back we have either 2 young players playing full back or Davis with Sess in front of him he means his got limited option with his lack of exp. We may play 3 at the back and use attacking fullbacks but i think 4-3-3

Maybe the way forward is to keep both Cirkin and Sessegnon in the squad until January, and manage their game time through EL games (Sessegnon at LB in PL games where we want overlapping fullbacks). In January, Cirkin may be ready for a Championship loan which would also be good for his development.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m keen to see what Cirkin can offer. But we’d be on his back if he made a few Foyth style mistakes that cost us points, even more so if he was our only LB option because Davies was injured.
There’s lots of ifs and buts.
I’ve said it before but I think we could look to Chelsea’s loan approach to develop our young players better

Sess will get more game time next year with EL etc, Jose just had to play his best XI since the return to get european football and it worked. As soon as we are in 2-3 competitions at once again Sess will get plenty more game time. There is a real talent there will just take a bit of time to see him blossom.

Sessegnon gets cut much more slack than Ndombele? Ndombele is one of the most derided signings in recent history, just because some people loudly support him, doesn't change the fact loads of Spurs fans want him gone.

The Khans hate us so much since Levy made them look silly.

While I think this seems like a reasonable statement - I would wonder if this person was in charge during the incredibly destructive transfer business that Fulham did when they got promoted. Basically drove a huge wedge down the middle of the squad, created incredibly unequal pay structures. A little unfair to blame Ryan when the team was so badly managed.

I really hope he's able to develop and live up to all the hype, but I can't see that happening this season. Mourinho isn't a manager to risk results by throwing young players into the starting XI when stronger options are available (nor would we want him to). Therefore, a loan to another PL club may well be the best thing for him, unless he can really impress Mourinho during the contracted pre-season.

Based on what I've seen of Sessegnon, he's well capable of making an impact in Championship games, but isn't yet able to replicate that against PL opposition. Although he played regularly for Fulham in 2018-19, he was left out of the starting XI at times for purely footballing reasons (not injury or suspension) and didn't particularly stand out in a team that was relegated. In his limited opportunities for Spurs, he was unconvincing - a liability at LB and less effective than any of the other wide attacking options in our squad. To drop Davies or Son, in order to give him a run-out, would be a huge call.

Horses for courses I think, against certain opposition when we are struggling to break teams down he is perfect for overloading that side from a wingback position.
At 20 he is still getting stronger, and developing, granted - If Robertson is the benchmark, I think Sess could reach that level in the near future if he is given regular football.
We also now have a solid DM that will drop back in to make a three at the back which will also help his cause.
Excited at his potential, think he will be a key player for us in the not so distant future.
