This reminds me that despite all the dark times we had in the 90s, we also had some magical players. Klinsmann, and Ginola especially, were the epitome of players you would “pay to go watch”.
I could easily have been a Leeds or Newcastle fan if I'd gone with family allegiances when I was a kid, or bowed to peer pressure and just been a Man U fan like a few of my mates were. And that trophy stick people beat us with can go right up their rear's; Even though when I started following Spurs we used to win them all the time. Spurs always had a bit of magic to them, like a Gazza or a Ginola, a Berbatov or a Bale, that kept me long past many other kids might've given up.

Richy telling Conte his thoughts lol

In an interview with
@fred_b12
that will air soon, Emerson Royal revealed Richarlison's mistake with his former coach, Antonio Conte Emerson: "He arrived late at the meeting on the day of the game, and the guy [Conte] 'or, do you want to say something? Do you want to apologize to the team?'. He asked the other kids who had arrived late too, the kids said sorry, then he got to him, he was supposed to apologize, right? Then he said 'ah, I think I need more minutes' (ah, I think I need more minutes). I think he understood that the guy asked if he had something to talk about, then he started saying that the formation we played in was shit, he said a couple of things." Richarlison: "I came out saying everything that came to mind. 'I need more minutes', 'this formation is no good', I didn't adapt, 'this formation is shit' ( this formation is shit), I started talking, then the guys behind started laughing. I didn't understand what he had asked, I started saying what I had already rehearsed."

Considering Richy is out for 2-3 weeks, he was quick to celebrate with teammates after we scored against Palace.

He raced to the corner flag quicker than Romero.

"I think it's very important [to talk about psychology], because now that I do [therapy] I can talk, I think players need to see a psychologist. I'm very happy to be doing it, because before I had a prejudice, you know? I said 'I'm not going to do that, I'm not going crazy, I'm not crazy', because back in the countryside, where I live, in the countryside, it's like that, you're going to become a psychologist, you're crazy, you're crazy. It's seen as something for people in the cities.
So, thank God I went through this, this prejudice, now I don't have it anymore. I'm able to do [therapy], I'm feeling 100%, my mind is relieved, with my psychologist I can vent, I can talk about everything, so I think it's really cool to do this, you know? Sometimes, injuries would come here at Tottenham and I didn't know why, because I was always prepared, I was always training well, and then there would be some calf injuries, my thigh.
That's when I talked to the doctor, I said 'doctor, I don't know why this is happening to me, I've never had so many injuries', and he asked me if I had a problem at home, a problem with my family, with my girlfriend. That's when he asked me to see a psychologist. Stress was causing the injuries."

Very interesting dilemma to have.

Personally very happy with Richarlison but pending on the value of the offer and also the other potential strikers available this summer, you’d presume we’d have to take it into serious consideration

He's one of the last people I see going to Saudi (along with Sonny).

Him opening up on his mental health like this is fantastic and hopefully an inspiration to many others to be open about the challenges they face.

Hope the fans now rally round him at the Luton game, and make sure he knows we appreciate him.

Good on him for opening up and I hope for him that it’s a sign that he is on the upward trend in being able to talk about it.

There will be no doubt that someone like Ange will be a big help to him int he way he approaches every situation with such character and thought.

I hope the fans at the luton game give him the biggest cheer!

What a guy!!
Such a brave thing to be so open about……even though it shouldn’t be.
A happy, focussed Richy and we have a really good player on our hands!

Massive respect to him for doing this. Felt quite emotional myself watching this, knowing the mental health challenges I and many, many friends of mine have had in the past.

Have always had faith in him and his ability and knew he would be a really good signing. Lets get behind him as one for the Luton game.

Depression is a life long condition. It’s always there, through good and bad. Situations that cause stress, trauma, confusion, and frustration cause ‘flare ups’. This is an invisible illness that men in particular have a hard time seeking help for. Worst, is that peers often misunderstand. Some days, months, and years may pass where it is somewhat under control. But when it hits, it can be a beguiling siren that calls you to crash against rocks of despair. And they can’t be shut out or ignored. They consume you.

It is something he will have to manage for the rest of his life. I’m glad he is getting help. And continues to manage the condition, even when all seems well. For it is a slow, debilitating, ruthless killer. So, if you know someone like this, hold them tight. Fight the battles they lack the mental fortitude or will to do for themself. Show them they are not alone. Don’t just tell them. Platitudes mean nothing, to a person who lacks any semblance of self belief and has lost hope. I genuinely, wish Richy well, and cross my fingers that his support network stay by his side through thick and thin.
