Am presuming Skipp and Hojbjerg both get injured (in the last match of the season after coming on as subs to safeguard our Champions League place) just enough to make them unsaleable in the summer.

Scoring goals isn't the issue.

Might be okay for the Palace-game... but Richy has been in very good shape lately and it's not a good thing for our options during games when we are missing top players ... I would prefer to have good options and more rhythm. We have had far too many interruptions in our starting line-ups this season.

But we’re not missing any top players in midfield or attack right now?

News was 2-3 weeks, so that means he could be back on the bench for the Fulham game and if not will be back for Luton. With a whole week in between our games now I think we’ll see form closer to the start of the season again.

Perhaps it’s just me but many of the balls that Johnson and Werner were putting in where it was sort of cut back into the box are tailor made for Richarlison to get on end of. Poacher style. Which is a different profile to Son.

This reminds me that despite all the dark times we had in the 90s, we also had some magical players. Klinsmann, and Ginola especially, were the epitome of players you would “pay to go watch”.
