Spurs having an obligation to buy at a specific price in the future does not mean the transfer is set in stone and *will* happen regardless of eventualities. The player can, I would expect, chose not to sign permanently. I mean obviously right now he as a long term contract with Betis and a loan contract with Tottenham, that has to be the case or there's no "loan". So the player has to be onboard at the point in the future of trying to make the deal permanent, I would assume.
I find it extremely unlikely that Levy would agree to pay a reported £15m loan fee when the player can still vito the permanent deal.
What if he got tapped up with a better offer?
Can you see us risking paying £15m for one season, whilst developing a player for another club?
We structured the deal this way to help lower Betis' 20% sell on clause to PSG.
So I expect the player is already committed to a long term contract, subject the known CL clauses.
