LOL thats what I've been saying but Spurs fans arent worried cause it isnt their money.

They'll soon worry if we don't make top 4 after spending top 4 money and have to sell of our assets with teams having us over a barrel. Got to be practical with what we've got whilst also showing a little ambition

The Fernandes link reeks of agent-speak. Looks like they just found a convenient target to get United and/or City to ramp up negotiations.

You are also forgetting that we have a debt of £638m plus to pay off.

Shouldn’t have any impact on us this window. Going to be 50-60M in annual debt service (P+I on a 15-20 year amortization schedule). Incremental stadium revenues should just about cover that on their own. Naming rights, incremental seats, incremental Corp hospitality, NFL/Non football events, incremental concessions, etc.

Does that have to be paid off all at once? It's manageable debt, I know we're not at UTD'S level but they've been carrying that amount of debt since the Glazer's took over and are only servicing the interest.

No it doesn't have to be paid off all at once. But we still have the southern development to be built.

None of us have an idea of how much we have available to buy players. It might be money raised by sales (as in previous years) it might be a lot more. We don't know. Saying one way or the other is a bit pointless.

My guess is that we would ultimately pay the release for Lo Celso but doesn't hurt to try and get the dropped a little.

Agreed. But with all the non football events going on at the stadium and a naming deal still to come, I don't think paying if off is something to worry about.

“Flogged” is a tad misleading... they had inserted an optional fee a year prior. They were desperate for him to come back before he decided to sign permanently for Betis.

Sold/ flogged you know what I mean. He wasn't good enough so they loaned him to Betis and were happy with c£20m back in return. He's a cracking little player but he ain't £80m

I think I had heard that PSG were using him as a DM and he stunk it it, that could be the reason for the low option in the loan deal.

So Emery sold both him and Lucas on the cheap, only for other clubs to develop them in different areas and become better players. Doesn't bode too well for Unai does it? ;)

You're also not taking into account our CL run, record profits, PL cash from this season and not spending for 2 windows, i don't think we will, but I think we could spend close to 200m without having to worry about selling.

We do need to do what Pool did, we have glaringly obvious weaknesses in the first 11.
Seeing as we only ever net spend that leaves us the Dembele fee to show for the two windows. I don't doubt there is some money to spend but I'd bet we won't net spend any more than 30-40m

We made top 4 spending Zero, so we’re cool with spending some to maintain that.

I'm pretty sure Levy knows that that would have Poch heading for the exit door, and Levy isn't daft. It will be about getting Poch the players that he wants and the net spend will be what it will be without going overboard IMO.

Tuchel loaned out and sold Lo Celso. Or at least was head coach when PSG did so.

But Emery was the one who played him out of position as a DM which ultimately led to PSG moving him on before he got a crack at it under Tuchel right?

Tuchel took over in May last year and Lo Celso left for Betis that summer. All of the DM deploying happened under Emery

Last summer was different. We didn't have the Dembele, Alderweireld and Eriksen contracts having over us like we did and do now. Next summer it's Rose and Vertonghen isn't it or does Danny have another two years?

If Pochettino is talking about a new project and we are about to get c£100m for Eriksen and Alderweireld, plus anything else in from sales that could include Trippier, Wanyama, Rose, Davies, Dier, Lamela, Onomah, Carter-Vickers etc (not all of them obviously but these guys have question marks over their names), I wonder what the kitty is or will be for players in.

I'd prefer Lo Celso but £80m is mental money for a guy PSG flogged for £20m a month or two ago.
The mental part is actually that they got a player worth €60/70m from PSG for only €20m. PSG should have kept him and they gave him away for far less than his market value.
