Glad to hear it - this deal is important on a number levels IMOI know it's like the 28th time someone in the media has said this but yeah, John Percy is about as reliable as it gets.

Tottenham Hotspur are close to finally completing the protracted £15 million capture of Djed Spence.
Spurs are edging towards an agreement in principle with Championship club Middlesbrough for the England under-21 international, after weeks of negotiations, and expect to seal the signing before this weekend.
Spence, 21, has been a priority target for Antonio Conte this summer and he is set to undergo a medical in time to join Tottenham on their pre-season tour of South Korea, with the squad flying out on Saturday.
The former Fulham trainee proved an excellent addition for Nottingham Forest on loan last season, playing a key role in helping the club return to the Premier League for the first time since 1999.
Due to his impact at the City Ground, Middlesbrough have been determined to hold out for a significant fee and played hardball during talks with Tottenham over the past fortnight.
Middlesbrough have previously turned down offers of £10m and £11m but are settling on a £15m fee upfront which could reach £20m after instalments.
Spence could potentially become the most expensive sale in Middlesbrough's history, eclipsing the £18 million paid by Wolves to sign Adama Traore in August 2018.
Spence will become the latest addition in a radical recruitment drive from Conte as Tottenham back the Italian with funds.
Tottenham have already completed the £60 million capture of Richarlison from Everton, while Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster have also signed this summer.
Spence appeals to Tottenham due to his potential, ability and age, while he will also top up their homegrown quota as the club prepare for the forthcoming season with the added bonus of Champions League football.
Tottenham will play their first pre-season friendly on Wednesday in Seoul against a team made up of the best K League 1 players. Conte's men also face Sevilla, Rangers and former manager Jose Mourinho's Roma before the Premier League season kicks off next month.

Couldn't we have a thread in general football, well away from ITK and Rumours, where we can actually name players that we'd like to see in our team, A place where you can say "if we are offering £X for linked player Y, then why can't we try for player Z?" without fear of the wrath of You-know-who and his ban-stick.
Edging closer to finally being near to a broad agreement. In principle, of course. So is it agreed then?
Or just pretty much the same, close?
Maybe but Percy is top tier. I’d sooner believe him than O Keefe ngl.Paul O’Keefe saying the report is wrong and there’s been no breakthrough.
As Percy is the midlands reporter he suspects Forest are playing games.
