He'd deal with all of them, defensively, better than Udogie would at this stage in his career.

Agree with this. Davies clearly lacks the athleticism and attacking abilities of Udogie but very lets us down defensively.

Another plus might be that Porro sees more of the ball on the other side and he’s proven one of most creative players this season so we’ll still have a significant threat from one full back at least.

Udogie's injury is just a scratch to Sess.

Udogie pretty much pocketed Saka and Salah when we played Arsenal/Liverpool?

I have nightmares thinking about Davies running back towards our goal trying to catch up with them.

If Ange were to change his tactics to accommodate for his lack of pace, then I would agree with you.

However, we all know that's not going to happen and we will still play the same way.

And he just go roasted by Antony Gordon.

Ange is way more pragmatic than people give him credit for.

This whole "Ange never changes ever" thing is so far from the truth.

Not worried about Davies defensively, it's performing that inverted role, he lacks the agility and technical ability to perform it and as we saw against Palace he offers no threat against a compact defence.

Hopefully he's actually fit to give Saka and Arteta a taste of their own medicine when they see the starting line up

Not sure why everyone is assuming Davies will be LB, Emerson has played more mins a LB for us this season than Ben has and we also have Dragusin now, which would allow VdV to move to LB if thats what Ange wants to do.

Udogie has had a great start but is still clearly raw as well. The injuries haven't helped him. When you consider the right sided attackers in the league he has measured up well. He has the ingredients to be a top player even world class. We do need another to compete with him though.

Yeah I think this should be Palmer.
I only consider Palmer, Udogie and Mainoo eligible for that particular award, the others are all established seasoned pros and that's not what this should be about.

It's definitely Palmer of the three though.
