Well, to be fair, he did not play convincingly last season either (much of the team didn't). Hazard being in a completely different league and showing much more fight in general.

The £130 was a quote from Levy (according to news outlets):

There has to be an element of compassion.

Watching your dream slide away must be very tough. I hope as a fan base we can stay classy however this unfolds. He's done a lot for Tottenham.

I suspect that somewhere in him he regrets how this is playing out. It would require a huge climb down for him to stay now, I wonder if this is a bigger barrier than actually staying.

I still honestly believe that if we can get Ndombele and Lo Celso firing Eriksen may want to be a part of that new creative group, he has been burdened by the weight of being our main creator. A chance to play for Spurs where this isn’t the case may be the change he needs.

I get the feeling Pochettino will pick him against Liverpool as a show of faith.

I feel it’s too far gone for that - it’s been plain to see that Eriksen hasn’t been up for it for months. I think we need to move on from him as for sure he isn’t going to be with us in the future.

We need to build on last night and only really incorporate players that have the desire to play for the badge - unfortunately that no longer includes Eriksen or Rose.

LOL, there are no quotes from Levy in that article.

I share your sentiment, but I think its clear that his time with us is over. Which is fine. He's been our finest player for half a decade, and I'll always consider him one of our greats.

But we saw last night how not having certain players in the team seemed to give us a freedom and energy... not to mention a simple sense of fun. I'm hoping that Poch stick with that now and doesn't revert to type against Liverpool.

I've said it in other threads, but that game is a free hit, so play the players who aren't just marking time.

Eriksen moving on will relieve a lot of tension in the dressing room, especially in Jan's pants

I'm not sure the difference in quality is negligible between Lamela and Eriksen at their best.. but clearly an Eriksen who can't be fucked at all isn't much use to us any more..

He was an integral part to our rise within England and Europe. And for the most part, his career at Tottenham was stellar and i will always applaud and cheer him on. With that said, his performances for the last year have been far too inconsistent given the quality he has. While we all have our suspicions of the root cause of that, i'm not a mind reader and hence, will leave that issue alone. He does not appear to be committed to the cause any more and for that reason, i wish him Godspeed and hope that happens in January. Many thanks but if you are not committed, it is time to go.

I seriously hope not as he’s had more than enough opportunities this and given how well Lamela played last night would send a terrible message out.

I’m not sure that he’s downed tools more the fact that he’s burnt out. Between Ajax, spurs and Denmark he’s pretty much played 50+ games a season and put in the hard yards at the same time.

Heard some Denmark fans say he’s not played very well for over a year for them. I think we've had the best of him. Shame the way it seems to be ending for him at spurs.

Me and the family on a day trip to Whitstable.
In regards to Eriksen he should go and play for AGF and send me a case of Ceres Royal when he gets there.

I don't understand why anyone would be so desperate to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona while already being an almost essential part of a club that just reached its first ever CL final. Eriksen's career is going backwards atm, and it's only because he's failing to appreciate what he already has.
