Are you frigging kidding me
I guess we could debate crunch but in terms of the real crunch games, semi finals, league title deciders and finals he went absolutely missing every time , this is why rm and Barcelona are not in for him with a significant fee imho

Which games in particular are you on about? Bar the CL final where the whole team were below par...off the top of my head:

FA Cup semi against Utd - provided as assist

FA Cup semi against Chelsea - provided 2 assists

Man City away (2016) scored the winner in a 2-1 win

Palace/Swansea away (2017) scored winners to keep up the chase with Chelsea

Chelsea away (2018) scored an absolute beaut to make it 1-1

Im sure there's more but what matches are you talking about?

CE has been shit for 1.5yrs. Everyone is aware that he was asked to play deeper at times last year, but that excuse went stale. Why people defend him at this point is unbelievable.

Most of our team has been shit for 1.5 years. So yeah, that's that.

Tottenham star Christian Eriksen’s move to Barcelona last summer reportedly fell through after Lionel Messi vetoed it.

The Denmark playmaker made no secret of his desire to leave Spurs this summer after the club lost the Champions League final against Liverpool in Madrid.

However, Eriksen was unable to secure a transfer away from the club, with Spanish publication El Desmarque reporting that Messi blocked his move to Barcelona.

According to the report, Eriksen, who has also been linked with Real Madrid, was keen on the move and the Catalan outfit went as far as holding talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.

A deal which would have seen Barca midfield pair Ivan Rakitic and Carles Alena go the other way in exchange for the playmaker is said to have been agreed.

Messi, however, was said to have opposed the transfer because he believes Eriksen ‘has not shouldered enough responsibility in big games’.

The breakdown in talks left the 27-year-old Dane in complete limbo, after reportedly pinning his hopes on a switch to the LaLiga champions.

Real, Juventus and PSG all remain keen on a move for Eriksen, however, and the player is still determined to leave either for a cut-price fee in January or on a free next summer.

You lot actually thinks this is true hahahahahahaah

On form he is brilliant and if he plays well so do spurs. Obviously he's not seen form for a while.

He'll never win you a 50/50, that's just his mentality. I don't think he's a win at all costs person, and you can't coach that.

Watch back his interview on the pitch after the champions league semi final win. I honestly thought he seemed more bothered that Ajax hadn't made it. I'll try and find it.

Anyway, players should be played on form, and he's been very poor for too long IMO, regardless of how good he can be.

he has weak first touch and cant control the ball really well
he needs space to create otherwise you pass to him he passes it back at you.

Michael Brown would add more value, its true

I've tried to defend him but I have no idea why he is being picked every week, very very poor.

I just don't get it. He shouldn't have even started but when we went a man down why the hell did he stay on the pitch? At least Sessegnon is quick, has a defensive side to his game and won't shirk a challenge - important qualities when you're defending for your life. Pretty much any other player would've been a better option in that situation.

Keeping Eriksen on was like playing with 9 men.
