Cant tackle, cant press, cant intercept, and his passing! Jeezus! Has he ever made a decent pass? How people are sticking up for him is beyond me, he's not even championship level hed get found out there too! (I'm not just an armchair fan btw although his errors are glaring on TV too)

We need a replacement! reguilon would be a start but doubt levy will put hes hand in his pocket for him unfortunately.

Its not knee jerk I went to a good number of games and I can tell you that he's been one of the worst players I've seen even much so that an unmotivated Ericksen was better than him when he played or came on and he was shocking.

We better get used to it as Jose loves him but he shouldn't be in our XI and he wouldn't make another side in Top 6. Squad player at best.

Left back is a nightmare for us at the moment. I have been hoping Sessegnon would come through and take over from BD but he just looks terrified when he plays and BD has been playing without confidence for a while too. Rose still looked confident when he played last season but he has never been the same since the injuries.

Some of the criticism of BD is a bit harsh, you know what you get with him but he is just not in the same class as Rose (used to be). He used to put the odd good cross in and contribute more in attacking play but has looked more and more lost going forward for a while (since pre Jose). He seems to run forward, hesitate and then turn around play backwards far too often.

He should now be a squad player, no other team in the top half of the table would want him if available, except maybe as cover, so we should be aiming higher.

Davies is normally a reliable enough 7 out of 10 player. Steady. Not spectacular but assured enough.

Yesterday he was absolutely terrible. Really bad.

K'inell I miss Walker and Rose in their prime for us.

Davies isn't going to get any better than he is now. He's an average player. Never has a really bad game but I can never say he has ever had a standout game. Cirkin has shown some good potential in pre season and needs to be blooded this season to replace Davies next season.

Not under Mourinho - he's fancied him since day one, he just got injured on day one too!

I don't think Ben's a bad LB - I just think he's another player on Mourinho's list where he has too much optimism in their ability to do what he needs them to.

But this is true of every player, no? All you can ask is that, generally, the players play well. I’ll take a consistent 7/10 performer most weeks.

Is Davies really a consistent 7/10 though?

more of a consistent 5/6 out of 10 with the occasional 7/8 and occasional 3/4

personally thought he looked more impressive when he started a few games as LCB in a 3

lacks the mobility to really be a top 4 (not that we are anymore) sides starting LB

I dunno tbh. Was just quoting the guy who said he thought he was a consistent 7/10 performer most weeks. Thought it was a odd criticism as 6/7 out of 10 most weeks is good in my book.

Individual ratings are pretty pointless anyway. It’s a team game and the only rating we should care about is how the team have performed as a unit. For the last season or so our team rating most weeks I’d say is about 3/4.

Let's be brutally honest Ben Davies is a squad player he is no better than Rojo not first choice imo.

Whilst we're all putting the boot in I'd also like to give him a kicking and say that I don't think he's good enough and I feel he's a liability in big games or against good players. He's a 5 or 6/10 player most weeks but to be worthy you need to be a 7 or 8/10 most weeks. He's a passenger who rarely offers anything above the minimum for us.

I enjoyed that more than I should have.
