Not denying he won medals and played games. He was a good player but rarely 1st choice.I watched a lot of SPL in those days - Durie played far more than all of those names bar McCoist and Hately, and accumulated more appearances and goals than Laudrup too. Lovenkrands only joined around 5 months before Durie left for Hearts.
He got plenty of games during McCoist’s numerous times out injured, then even more so when Hateley left. He was often paired with Laudrup up front or, alternatively, with Rod Wallace and Laudrup given license to roam wherever he pleased.
He won a tonne of medals too. Definitely the most successful period of his career.
