I agree but the club hasn't helped itself with the non-stop media coverage they encourage. That Amazon doc was a terrible idea and the constant social media posts!!!! They treat the team like a reality TV show. If they shut up for a bit and concentrated on the football, maybe we would get a bit more respect, just saying.Spurs manager Jose Mourinho says Tottenham "deserve more respect" as a club after conceding from a controversial late penalty in their 1-1 draw with Newcastle United.

Every club does that. It's marketing.I agree but the club hasn't helped itself with the non-stop media coverage they encourage. Do you remember Man Utd in the 90s? The 4 different kits a season, the constant media fawning, MUTV on Sky... Didn't hurt them, and no one is remotely on that level to date. And lower league clubs like Wimbledon and S****horpe have as much social media presence as Spurs.I agree but the club hasn't helped itself with the non-stop media coverage they encourage. I disagree with you here. When he was with Cheslea, he only represented Chelsea interests, the same when he was at United, and it's obvious why that is true. We do have some great players. We also lacked in some areas. I cannot for the life of me understand how you've twisted him saying that it would be great if Spurs benefited from some big decisions every once in a while as Mourinho not showing us any respect. Utterly baffling. So we, as a club, deserve more respect? How about you start showing us some. In the Amazon programme you said that you wouldn't have taken the job here if we hadn't had such good players. Translation: this club isn't at my level but I'll take the job anyway. What you mean is that the club should be shown more respect because you're the manager here now. I don't recall you showing us any respect when you were at Chelsea or Man. United.
Cock.

Some people think he's some kind of god just because he's now working for us. Some see him as the arrogant disrespectful prick that he's always been. Some people are just obsessively negative over Mourinho.
I didn't.
He said that the club should be shown more respect. I merely used his history, including what he said in the Amazon programme, to show that he has never had any respect for us. As for your point about only representing the interest of the club you represent, that is true. But you can be respectful of others when you do it. The only person/club that I recall Mourinho ever being respectful of is Ferguson.
Because he represents the club he's with at the present to the fullest. What a bastard! Some people think he's some kind of god just because he's now working for us. Some see him as the arrogant disrespectful prick that he's always been.

I'm not 'hung up' on anything or anybody. I don't like Mourinho and have no problem in commenting on his hypocrisy.Because he represents the club he's with at the present to the fullest. What a bastard!
Which manager would you prefer who always shows the utmost respect for all other clubs and praises them to the hilt?
Or perhaps you're just hung up on who our currently manager has represented previously?
Fair enough. I suppose you'll never support him then? I feel that's unfair, but hey ho.I'm not 'hung up' on anything or anybody. I don't like Mourinho and have no problem in commenting on his hypocrisy.
'Since he joined' being the operative phrase. He thinks everybody should respect him - and for what he has achieved he has a point, at least in respect of those achievements. I am merely pointing out that he has shown us little or no respect previously and now he seems to think that everybody should respect us simply because he is here. It's arrogant and hypocritical and I chose to point that out. Sorry if it offends you.He has the exact same support every other manager has had when they joined. In footballing terms, he is a bit of a 'god' - there are few managers that can lay claim to the achievements he had made in football.
He only needs to accomplish a fraction at spurs of what he has in his career to be revered. God* knows why you want to justify attacking someone who has done nothing but defend the club since he joined ?
(not Mourinho, to be clear)
I respect his achievements. When he does something here that deserves respect, then I'll respect that too. I doubt that I will ever respect him as a person for the reasons that I've mentioned.Fair enough. I suppose you'll never support him then? I feel that's unfair, but hey ho.
I didn't.
