First off, I hope Zaniolo does get sold because Inter owns a 15% sell-on fee. Would be a small win after a dismal transfer window so far... (and perhaps you'll then stop trying to take our Italian players...)

But Zaniolo is one of the dumbest, most selfish players in Serie A. He constantly dives and looks for the foul. When he doesn't get the call, he gets frustrated and gets himself booked shortly after. Again, he has more yellow & red cards than goalscoring contributions in Serie A. He's already been called out by outside managers like Fabio Capello and Roberto Mancini for being selfish and not playing with others (even dropped from Italy national team).

This perfectly encapsulates who Zaniolo is as a player:

Instead of passing, he tried to cut inside and beat Koulibaly. Rinse and repeat the entire season - he seemed allergic to passing. It's actually amazing that Roma played good football last year (3rd highest xG behind Inter and Atalanta) because Zaniolo was a black hole in the offensive phase. Players like Pellegrini & Abraham grew visibly frustrated with Zaniolo because he tries to take on defenders by himself and refuses to pass.

I think a lot of people are just angry because it's not maddison. But we have no idea what's happening with leicester, we could have enquired and they said 80m in which case that's ridiculous and it makes sense to look at alternatives.

Also a lot of Juve fans were really keen to get him, and roma fans want him to stay so its not like we would be getting some sort of reject. And if conte wants him as Trix says.......then that's good enough for me.

I actually think he suits the English game more than the Italian one. A loan with option also allows more cash to be spent on a CB if we’re still looking to buy one(y)

Literally what I have been saying, he is Moura....

Can we do a loan? Thought we already have two as Romero and Deki are still on loan
Can have as many players as we like on loan from clubs outside England

Under the rules in the Premier League Handbook 2021/22, there are restrictions on how many players Premier League clubs can loan from other Premier League/English clubs.

They are:
- Premier League clubs may not register more than two players on loan at any one time.
- The maximum number of loans registrable in the same season is four, and, under no circumstances, shall more than one be from the same club at any one time.
- Premier League clubs cannot loan to another Premier League club a player they have acquired in the same transfer window.
- A Premier League club may loan not more than one of its goalkeepers to another Premier League club.

With the exception of Welsh clubs competing in the competitions listed under Rule V.6.2, loans from a club in membership of another National Association do not count towards the above quotas.

Nothing to do with his injuries, I just don’t rate this guy at all. I will be very surprised if he isn’t a huge flop in the PL
Can't say the highlight videos have convinced me, looks slow as a cart horse. Then again I wasn't convinced by Kulusevski.

Loan with option I believe.
Interesting.

If we aren't going to spend money on this one now, I wonder if a player like Maddison is going to stay on our radar.

I believe it should and I don't think it would cause too many issues as I believe Conte will switch between the 3-5-2 and 3-4-3. Some games we will need 2 of Kulusevski/Maddison/Zaniolo sometimes just one.

The players that may be more disposable are the CMs. I have a feeling that in time Hojbjerg will be disposable and Bentancur Bissouma Skipp will mostly be used.

At Inter, Conte's midfield was largely consistent with Brozovic and Barella playing the majority of games and Eriksen, Vecino, Vidal and Gagliardini in and out of the team.

I can certainly see Bissouma and Bentancur nailing those 2 spots down with Skipp alternating more than Hojbjerg. Then Maddison, Zaniolo and Kulusevski either playing that 3rd midfielder role or moving into the top 3.

Would have some nice options

Seems awful. A bizarre one the more i've read and looked.

Didn't know he struggled with his Left and rights...
You're looking at it wrong ... standard team layout used on here is:

GK
RCB CCB LCB
RWB CM CM LWB
RWF CF LWF

I just omitted the non-relevant positions.

EDIT: And, it turns out, totally fucked up the LWF and RWF labels

Thank you, Skriniar. You probably know his game well having played against him several times
