Baffles me how we didn't even contact him.

Even just for initial talks.

It’s just such a bad sign that the higher ups believe the collapse under him wasn’t almost entirely down to them. He wasn’t backed until it was too late. He was allowed 4 months with N’dombele and Lo Celso before he was sacked. He was let down badly by the club in my opinion

I really don't think he owes us anything now, he hasn't chosen Chelsea over Spurs and he hasn't rejected Spurs, its actually the opposite, so he must look to his own future end of.
Personally I wish him all the success he had with us.

He took one of two jobs in world football that is controversial if he wanted to pretend to have a connection to spurs. Thankfully he now cut the ties and we can move on.

Just confirms to me that the board are so far out of their depth.

I can understand if you have another manager already lined-up, but when you have a manager available, who has had some success at your club, and you don't even bother to sound him out - well, that sounds like letting personal feelings get in the way of football decisions.

Hope he fails big time if he joins that lot.

Me too. I think they have a great squad and will make top three next year, but I hope he is lumbered with lots of players he doesn't want on massive contracts and he can't shift them. He will feel really at home then

Hmm I'd be very surprised if they got top 3 given the competition and how disjointed they look.

Squad has a lot of quality but it's really bloated, still largely young and inexperienced with a serious lack of goals and 2 injury prone wingbacks.

Poch would do very well to get them top 4 next season with Newcastle, us (lol) an improved United and a likely resurgent Liverpool in the mix

The four months of the season after the CL final under Poch had some of the worst football I've seen us play. Comparable to the end of Mou/Conte and the AVB year.

He wasn't let down badly. He had 14 points through 12 matches with a GD of 1.
