Can someone actually find out for me whether a team has ever come back from 3 down to level and then lose? In the P league? Apart from us..
I just asked Chatgbt and the answer is yes, but it was a crap team:

“Yes, a team has come back from being three nil down to equalize, only to lose in the English football Premier League. This happened in the game between West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa on September 28, 2010.

West Bromwich Albion was trailing 3-0 at halftime, but they mounted a remarkable comeback in the second half, scoring three goals to level the match. However, in the 85th minute, Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor scored the winning goal, securing a 4-3 victory for his team.

This match is often cited as an example of a "great escape" in Premier League history, where a team manages to recover from a seemingly impossible situation, only to ultimately fall short.”

I would urge anyone actually considering doing this to take up a career as a butler or get in touch with the poster directly to apply for the position of lackey :D
I’m not applying but yesterday’s twist reminded me of a 3-4 v Villa in the mid-90s.

It was the first time I remembered the new South Stand at the Old Lane having fans allowed in.

Woke up this morning and first thought was happy days it's bank holiday and 2nd thought was Lucas fucking moura. What a shitty way to wake up. I know we didn't lose solely due to him but fuck me that one still hurts
I’ve never hurted as much since these pricks beat us in the CL final. This one is hard to take.

First time I’ve felt reasonably positive after a loss since early / mid pochetino era.

whst mason has achieved in an attacking sense in a few days training is astonishing. Now he has a full week to try snd sort out the defence!
Easier to sort out peace in the Middle East.

Didn’t think I’d care again given how this season has panned out. Cheers Mase for giving me a bit of Spurs back again.

Gerry Francis’ first home game? Vaguely remember as I’ve shut it away in a cupboard at the back of my brain 😱

Amazingly I’m actually looking forward to going to the palace game now when before the last week I wasn’t going to bother going to another match as so fed up.

Pushed up because of a 2 man midfield.....Dier is just the scapegoat for the haters. He'll still be in the team next season..
I've said numerous times I don't want to sell him. It's nothing to do with scapegoating him and everything to do with watching him objectively. Just as I've blamed Romero for one, Porro for one and Moura the last.

It's too easy on here(internet in general) to just label everyone who doesn't share your opinion with a derogative term. I like to think I'm pretty balanced in my view of all things Spurs, but is it worth arguing it out with a Dier fanboi?

According to the PL website, Spurs have 8 individual errors leading to goals this season. Only Leeds have more (9). Most teams have 4 or less.
Part of this is because we played defensive football. If youre defending for 90 minutes youre more likely to make a mistake

A derogative term, like your last sentance?

I can't believe there's people defending Dier. I've always stuck up for him but he was appalling yesterday. That first 45 mins was one of the worst I've seen. He seems to have completely lost all positional sense and just goes wondering. I get pushing uo but there's a skill in choosing where to do it, not just fly out and get easily passed around.

And on the subject of passing he was hopeless yesterday. Even just hoofing it he manages to boot it miles away from any player so we can't even contest it route 1. God knows romero has a mistake in him but at least he brings something to the tabke with his interceptions and play on the ball. Eric is offering nothing

I don't at all say this lightly but you'd be hard pressed to find a worse performing defender in the league at the moment. I really mean that. This isn't scapegoating its just pointing to a fact which is he's playing terribly.

I think the criticism of Eric is absolutely fair. But you know what - it's ok to call him out for his mistakes and performances but still like the bloke, believe in him and think he can have a place At this club for the next few years albeit probably altered from his current role.

Who'd have thought we'd all be pining for Emerson once the shiny new toy has lost it's polish?

Can't deny it was an entertaining match and credit to Ryan for setting us up to at least have a go. Not much you can do in a handful of training sessions.

Loved Richy getting his first league goal for us. But Lucas Moura...what were you thinking?!

We actually did it in my first ever live game.

November 19 1994 Spurs 3 Villa 4

Was also the day of the first National Lottery draw. Didn't get anything out of that either :)

I was being ironic and giving an example. I even highlighted the fact by bolding it out, and I don't think I could have been more obvious if I tried.

Clearly not obvious enough for some though eh?

Why do we always gift Liverpool goals? I can’t stand the weak minded players we currently have.
I had a liverpool supporting friend message me yesterday, saying that game was top 5 most Spursy thing he’s seen. I had to wait a few hrs to calm down, then I gave him both barrels. I said at the start of the year that I was gonna take a step back from this team, and I kinda have, but shit like that just winds me up. Walker, Dier, Lloris, Sissoko, and now Moura in recent memories have screwed us over in these matches. Pathetic.

To quote a certain Italian - the players don't like pressure.

We make so many incredible individual errors in big pressure away games. Think of the number of massive errors we make year on year away to the top teams. You could do a long compilation of them against Chelsea alone. The answer is complex I'm sure, but we can't turn up to these games next season with our current calamity defence and think they'll change.

It’s not a case of defending Dier’s performance, they can’t be defended, he has been poor and isn’t getting any better! It’s just that with Dier in the team, some people see other players have a get out of gaol Card for how others defend

the fact that we’ve conceded 12 goals in 3 games, no one in the defence is not culpable.
