I wonder who his team is?
.
Just checked out his wiki page. Phew very colourful. Welsh, lived in Spain, Hackney, was a priest, left because he was gay. Embroiled in that expenses scandal when they were all at it.
.
"Never heard of him"

When they've finished running Abramovich and all the other filthy oligarch thieves out of town they can turn their sights on the Oil slavers.

Wishful thinking I know...

The oil slavers know better than to attack people outside their own borders.

Khashoggi the exception of course.

Quite clearly anyone now supporting Chelsea Football Club is a traitor and could well find themselves arrested for Treason

Obviously that is a tad strong but when you look at it one of our ‘premium’ football clubs owned by a man clearly 100% inbed and side by side with Putin is both worrying and probably in the ‘new free world order’ unacceptable

This shouldn't detract from the very realness of what is going on in the Ukraine, but this is kind of the price you pay when jumping in to bed with someone like Abramovich. They have gotten a lot from the relationship, but if it breaks down and they have to sell the furniture, well that's the opposite side of the coin.

Can't see Chelsea falling like a house of cards even if Roman sells. The club is now on a different level to what it was when he bought them, so no doubt they would attract another wealthy billionaire/consortium and continue spending.

He has far more to do with the club than they have you think

I’m not sure what affect the government freezing his assets would have on their ability to operate as a multi million pound business though. Would it mean the club was essentially nationalised, or would they be unable to do business?

No way could they continue to pay the wages they are unless, as you say, another billionaire takes over.
It would fall.

Chelsea should be nationalised, stripped of every trophy they've won under abramovich, relegated to the conference and Stamford Bridge turned into a huge holocaust memorial and learning Centre.

I have a feeling it’s just a matter of when Roman is forced out. Let’s hope he calls in the loan and sells up to some cowboys. How glorious it would be to see them in league 1 in 10 years time.

There's no way he'd be allowed to sell them or call in the loan at the moment. The government would block it. They could also try and take the club from him, but apparently he's got some very powerful friends in the US.

No chance the club gets taken from him. Where’s the legal position on that. The government aren’t going to embroil themselves in that fight.

I suppose laws sort of go out the window when you start invading countries and killing people

Russian behaviour is totally unacceptable and if this Russian owner on the sanction list then bugger him and nationalise Chelsea. Russia needs to be a sports leper and totally isolated, let them play with themselves. No World Cup, no formula 1, no sporting interaction with the world. And on a lighter note we will have a chance of beating a nationalised Chelsea!
