Balanced spot on post trix

“Could I back him if there were many more performances like Brighton and Chelsea no”

How about:

Spurs 1-1 Fulham
Wolves 1-1 Spurs
Spurs 0-2 Leicester
LASK 3-3 Spurs
Antwerp 1-0 Spurs
Spurs 3-3 West Ham
Spurs 1-1 Newcastle
Spurs 0-1 Everton
Spurs 0-2 Chelsea
Southampton 1-0 Spurs
Middlesbrough 1-1 Spurs
Pool beating us with a last minute header
Palace 1-1 Spurs
Chelsea 0-0 Spurs

Norwich knocking us out of the FA Cup, Everton knocking 5 past us, Leipzig walking to a 4-0 aggregate win? We’re in the league cup having beaten Chelsea at their worst (on pens), getting a bye against Leyton Orient, then beating Stoke and Brentford.

He hasn’t taken us forward, it isn’t hard to see

I would just like to say that if you genuinely feel like this team at the moment is causing you mental and emotional harm that you need to come on to an Internet forum and go off at others for having a different mindset than you need to take some time away from football and the forum.

This is not me being condescending, it’s not worth the personal harm you’re doing to yourself. Come back when you’ve had a chance to get over the thoughts and emotions. But I’m really concerned with the way some of you can go on. It’s not healthy given the added stresses of life in the pandemic.

UNLESS! UNLESS! The board bank roll within reason, don’t matter even if Pep was our manager, we are going nowhere very fast! # FACTS

He may well be gone in the summer, but it won’t change anything much. Entertaining football, with nothing at the end of it. Fix investment, and not what we saw this summer, and we obviously don’t have the finances. And yes the pandemic has hit very hard. Until that happens, let us see what happens for the day one desperate folks, who were against him before even a ball was kicked.

Since 1966 I have seen very sad times. But I always stood by whoever was in charge. I cannot understand the modern day fan these days. Until end of season I want us to achieve something. I want to see us win the CC&EL. But I can guarantee there are those who would rather us go trophy-less, be out of Europe. End up in financial disaster, just to satisfy their egos, to the behest of our great club.
utter rubbish. No one will be disappointed if we win EL and league cup, what BS, its just its unlikely to happen with Jose in charge.

Massively agree, I get called out for saying I’m tired of the Jose haters and then if I say something positive i get hounded out of the room. It’s tedious.

You've been here long enough to know the rules.

If you post after a bad result you are knee-jerking.
If you wait a few days you have an agenda.
If you give a reasonable post suggesting negative with positives you always look for the negative.

Basically analysis is dead, there's always a way to twist your intent to dismiss anything you say.

I don’t see any alternatives out there, and he’s barely had time to shape the squad in his image. The problem is we have a combination of players in decline and generally poor recruitment that has caused us to go horribly stale. Allied to this is the lack of new players coming through our world beating academy. I reckon we should stick with. No one else is doing any better with this lot.

Need to at least see abit of fight ffs players showed nothing today embarrassing

I don’t disagree. For me, the important game is next week. Hopefully the players can get a bit of confidence with a win midweek and we can go into the West Ham game with some confidence. We then play Burnley and Palace both at home. If we can just get the confidence back we had at the start of the season then maybe we can push on a bit. We have played Chelsea, City and Liverpool twice quite early in the season so those difficult games are out of the way.

I still want to remain positive if I can and hope that we can turn it round. What other option do any of us have anyway, so I’m gonna back him and hope we win.

Makes sense. But we always became very passive whenever Sissoko is on the field. We ended up Ndombele working more than needed at the back than front IMHO.

Not all plans work out unfortunately. I know Skipp is doing well at Norwich but he’d be perfect for this role. Wouldn’t slow down the tempo as much as Moose.

No one should be sacked after losing to this Man City team. We just got beat by the eventual champions.

I said at the time, about Pochettino, that he had done enough with us to warrant the chance to build a new squad.

I will say the same about Jose. The man has more than enough weight behind him to deserve the opportunity to build a new team.

Which make no illusions about, we desperately need to do. This one was done 2 years ago, and Poch new it.
He won’t be sacked because he lost to city, it will because we lost to Brighton and Chelsea. We were completely outplayed. We have no indentity or style of play. Players seem unhappy and fans are split. This is only going to become more toxic

And if you’ve never liked Mourinho you’re not allowed to point out that his results are shit. Because reasons.

we don't have money to make jose type investments. No CL next season means even less money. Do you really see Jose getting the best out of the squad and some cheap youngsters we'll have to take a punt on?

Yeah, unless we get some outside investment to overhaul the squad we're got a long period in the wilderness in store. We have the most debt of any club in world football and we need almost an entirely new team. Not a great combination. Hard to see where we go from here apart from selling our better players to raise money.

Not quite as straightforward as this at all but I see your perspective

and we are playing well?
Responding to your point about JM not capable of developing or using young players...
PEH has played most games well - good signing.
Reguillon has been a good signing too.
Tanganga has done well and was probably mom today for us.

What's your point??

I was a give him a chance voter. I also want us to win the CC and EL. Can you honestly say you think we will beat City and win the EL though? Do you think we'll finish in a CL spot or even a EL spot? Could say Rodgers get a better tune out of this squad? Not that he is leaving Leicester to come to us lol.

my point is he's not getting the best out of the squad. he's 'accepted' the signings but has he got anything to work consistently?

Not posted on here a while but as try not to overreact after defeats but watching that this evening was something else. Just hate watching this team at the moment for so many reasons.

A lifetime of misery supporting Spurs winning practically nothing is bad enough, but have come to accept that over time, it is what it is. I've never known anything different!

Such as it is, I'm one of those fans that as a regular match goer that just desperately wants to see us playing attractive football again, win draw or lose . Not felt like this since the AVB days. Do the right thing Levy, and don't bother waiting for the energy drink cup final
