We keep setting up with inferiority complex formations, inviting pressure and chances, and inviting "individual errors". And the apparently genius idea behind sitting back is that the opponents are the ones at risk because they have possession! How can he make us hard to beat when individual players keep making errors? The manager can only do so much tactically but it’s upto the players if they are going to make stupid mistakes which they have been. Can we stop the mourinho bashing and just look at the state of the squad. Any manager that comes in wouldn’t do any better. A lot of these players are good enough but take a few clogs out of the machine and it doesn’t work. Simple as that.
When do individual errors stop being individual? When they're happening often and being done by many. And it's reasonable to sit deeper if you think you'll be killed by stepping up. We don't seem to be able to do either.
There are difficult issues with injuries, but there should still be options for out balls, passing, dribbling and coherence going forward. There should be organization, fewer gilt edged chances given up. I'm sure he'll get some time to rectify it, but it'd be good if he didn't wait til July to start that process.
