I imagine JJ's point is that this is more of an opportunistic move rather than that we ever targeted him to try and get him in this year. And all of the noise is that he hasn't rejected us anyway, it's that his agency wants to shuffle him off to Germany for the commission

Edit: or it was about another player entirely ?

Yes but not because of this. It was always a case of outgoings to make way for incomings. We just didnt foresee dearest leader not allowing Paratici to replace Bale or Vinicius without other outgoings either. Not Paratici’s fault this squad is full of deadwood that nobody wants or full of content people refusing to realize there beyond done at the club.

We've shifted Toby, Lamela, Rose, Sissoko, and Foyth. That's not bad for a single window. It was never realistic to expect a complete rebuild in the summer alone. Especially in a post-pandemic world where outside of a handful of clubs, almost no one has any real money to spend.

Its nice to see for a change that we did our part and didnt get the player just because of factors out of our control. Its easy to he negative when shit like this happens, but our window has been superb when the subject is getting top european talent, with Sarr, Romero and Gil. Give me Traore and one more CM and this will be a very good window considering all the time we lost with the manager hunt and kane’a saga. COYS!

Cadena Cope & other outlets reporting that Moriba’s camp has rejected us & only wants to sign for Leipzig. Also, them selling Sabitzer to Bayern is to make space & funds to make an offer for him.

Another one bites the dust ??‍♂️

I rather romantically thought Moriba had "chosen Tottenham" because we're obviously wonderful but maybe it was more a case of "play now vs. sit and watch Barca play for a year and then play somewhere else". If Leipzig want him to replace Sabitzer right now rather than wait a year and get him on a free maybe he wanted the situation of "playing now" and the club that that happened at didn't matter.

I’d be happy enough to see this one slide by. Seemed like an opportunistic move rather than a player we really needed, especially with Sarr being signed already.

I've nowhere else to put this so I'll chuck it in here but I'm really hoping that seeing as we are talking to Barca that we are considering taking Coutinho off their hands.

If it meant getting Ndombele of the books, i am all for it, time to move on and would suit both parties as we need a creative midfielder.

We take Coutinho on loan for a year and they take Ndombele.

Might suit all parties that
