As a club we shouldn’t be getting our knickers in a twist over Moriba… yes he’s highly talented but his agents sound like an absolute nightmare to deal with. In addition to this we’ve also signed Sarr, another outstanding talent who will be with us next year. Both seem to play in similar positions. Moriba may go on to become a superstar but let’s not forget some other supposed talents of Barca who went on to flop - Halilovic, Bojan, Deulofeu etc etc

Yes, for every Traore, Fabregas and Pique, there are many more Dos Santos, Ceballos, Fran Merida, Pleguezuelo etc.

Meh. Always thought this was odd and honestly think we're better off away from this. Would have wanted big wages and his entourage around the place... No thanks

From the player’s agency perspective, RB Leipzig are a better club for his development.

He is likely to have more starts in an easier league with less pressure than he would if signing for us.

RB Leipzig are also more likely to sell him at a cheaper price in the future than Spurs ever would. This would mean higher incoming agent fees.

Always the bridesmaid. Never the bride.

This whole woe is me/self-defeating thoughts act from so many on here is so tired.

We have signed 2 top young prospects in Sarr and Gil, but because we didn’t get this guy (arguably the least talented of all 3), because his agents wanted to fill their boots and it really had nothing to do with us as a club but probably more about our moral line, this kind of stuff appears. Like we didn’t try enough, or we aren’t appealing enough. From the sounds of it this is all just about greedy representation.

They are a far better club for development without a shadow of a doubt. But that becomes negligible for the player when he has to waste a massively important year of his career in order to fulfill a move that he cant even sign for another 6 months where anything can change & they might lose interest. His agents could very well be ruining his career here for a quick buck.

we’re sort of fucked arent we
Yes but not because of this. It was always a case of outgoings to make way for incomings. We just didnt foresee dearest leader not allowing Paratici to replace Bale or Vinicius without other outgoings either. Not Paratici’s fault this squad is full of deadwood that nobody wants or full of content people refusing to realize there beyond done at the club.

I think the sound/noise is now with Sabitzer moving he'd be going now, so wouldn't have to spend the year at Barca not doing anything.

When it was all breaking RB were gonna be for next year, but now Sabitzer is going Bayern it's changed.

i’m not gutted on missing out on moriba specifically, more that we seem to be chasing players who have no desire to come to us STILL with 3 days to go, and are no closer to any signings.

Same every window. And will continue unless people go for free or leave.

Not really bothered about this one either way, not sure that an 18 year old Barca b team player is going to solve any of our immediate problems. Would much rather the wages and fee were put towards a current ready to go creative midfielder and a backup striker.

i think we got used by agent and player to flush out RB Leipzig and to force them into a move in the immediate. Dirty tricks by dirty agents.
