Hull City make move to sign Tottenham's Marcel Lavinier

Hull City have set their sights on signing Tottenham starlet Marcel Lavinier after he rejected a new contract.

The 21-year-old has been omitted from Spurs under-21s’ opening three Premier League 2 matches of the campaign against Everton, Leicester City, Man City due to his contract issues. Now Hull have registered their interest in a loan deal for Lavinier, amid interest from rival Championship clubs.

I assume the issue is that he's out of contract next summer, so not sure what the point in loaning him would be.
