Not really. Doesn't help that watching us the last 18months has been like sticking pins in your testicles. Probably
This season had been so unenjoyable I haven’t really missed it much at all, to be honest.
I haven’t felt this disconnected from the club for a long time. I can’t believe it was only a year ago I was sat in the new stadium for the opening match, excited at seeing players I revered, led by a man I loved and respected in a beautiful new venue.
Crazy how quickly things can change.
The break is a relief in all honesty. Just goes to show how worked up we all get.
Tell you what though, this really puts things in perspective.
It's disgusting the money in football, it really is, when you look at all the hard working people out there making life changing contributions to society at the moment.
So many 'real life' heroes out there who won't even see a fraction of what some of these lot earn in a week.
Football needs to come crashing back down to earth with more and more starting to resent the obscene money that drives it.
If sky disappeared there’s probably another 3/4 broadcasters who’d be offering millions/ billions of £ for the premier league broadcasting rights.Sky Sports could find themselves in trouble. That means EPL could find itself in trouble. People will see what Sky costs and just say fuck it, I can manage without it.
I'm not sure we will see the same amounts spent. Clubs will be in difficulties and not in a strong bargaining position as fans will have other priorities. DL has already intimidated this, I think he knows what's coming. If sky disappeared there’s probably another 3/4 broadcasters who’d be offering millions/ billions of £ for the premier league broadcasting rights.
