It's not actually that unprofessional. You have to factor several things in. First Bayern dragging their heels over the deal rather than show how much they wanted him. That could easily have put him off them. Add to that how public they went and basically said if he doesn't join he isn't a man of his word. Then you have to consider that he has started to work with Ange for the first time. It's perfectly understandable that he has been won over and has more confidence than say 3 weeks ago. Maybe just maybe he left his options open as wasn't sure how things will shape under yet another manager. Maybe as the signings have started to add up he's more and more confident in the way things are going. The ever changing window can totally change a players mind. I mean 3 weeks ago we would be talking about Lo Celso being sold for example. Now he's definitely staying and played a role in our new Argentine striker coming over. I myself have been surprised how quickly the football has turned around under Ange. He could feel something special brewing and have second thoughts.
I just think if he wasn't 100% sure he should've voiced that earlier rather than allowing this circus to roll on for no reason at all.

Or his clown brother shouldn't have told Bayern he 100% would join (which he obviously did).

Fuck it. If Kane stays for this season, I'll donate £50 to SC.

If he signs a new contract before the end of the season, I'll donate a further £250.
If Kane stays, signs a new contract AND we win the league then i'll donate €100m with add ons.

I think the enormity of the decision is sinking in with Harry and his family.

Not saying this wasn't discussed at length previously - of course it was - but all said and done, he may not have ever believed it would actually come to pass and coupled with an impending birth, this really is a sliding doors moment.
Its one thing talking about it and another actually doing it..

Everyone questioning why would we accept if Kane was going to turn it down. Would that not be the ultimate PR stunt. It completely controls the narrative. If we didn't accept the story would be we held him hostage and stifled his career. They would point to future top players and say do you want to go to a Club that will hold.you hostage (the approach has hurt palace with how they was about Zaha as see olise release clause). If kane rejects bayern and has a statement about wanting to see the season out with spurs etc etc it stops all the noise for a year puts pressure on Levy to back the manager and push us on as a club. It would be the perfect storm and would force Levy to and wake up the fan base. Kane really holds the future of our club in his hands
On our part it made/makes total sense, but for Bayern to corroborate with this news in Germany that does not make sense. It only increases humiliation for them and pressure on the directors after a questionable transfer window. And Ornstein said sources in Germany, so people close to Bayern.

Bayern have never been rejected before like this.

Once the fee was agreed in their minds it was done so why not report it?

Not really confusing at all and the ITKs have actually explained in their most recent posts why.

Unless there’s a way to put bugs in the Kane household or for some odd reason they were invited into the chats, how would they know which way this was gonna swing?

And we’ve also already had a couple of idiots coming into thread today and ITK bashing / throwing their toys outta pram so you couldn’t blame them for not posting even if they did know to be honest.
Confusing was the wrong world perhaps. Possibly hopeful would have been better.

If his mind can’t be changed then that would presumably have been his immediate response to levy and he’d be on his way for a medical right now. And we’d likely have had ITK on that at least from the BM end.

by seemingly needing time to consider things, it does suggest genuine doubt in his mind.

so i still think there’s a chance.

He can't voice anything if he doesn't know what way it will go. If he says he's not 100% committed and we don't agree to a sale he's screwed. He had to keep it quiet. At the end of the day they should not have dragged it so long they could have signed him weeks ago but think they can bully us. Now they finally agree it might be too late as his mind might have changed working with Ange in pre season.

I would love for him to sign a 2 year contract with us. Aim for a trophy and get the record then he's free to join whoever he chooses

I can see that, its a possibility, but so amateur from a top professional club to have done it. Now i will just wait and see, got tired now after a busy morning on this subject. Lets hope Kane decides until tmr.

I think, whilst he's entitled to have a last-minute change of heart, he should really know by now whether he wants to go to Bayern or not. Why the hell would he allow both clubs to go through all this if he's not serious? He could have told Spurs/Bayern as late as Sunday he wasn't interested, he could have released a statement saying he's staying put now he's had time to work with Ange, or it's too close to the start of the season etc. It doesn't seem like he's done any of that. He could kill the speculation now if he wanted to by releasing a statement. The fact he hasn't suggests he's either going or still seriously considering it.

Anybody who doesn't understand why he's having second thoughts needs to remember the time they moved house, or changed jobs, or planned starting a family. He's human, we all flip flop between right and wrong choices. The only thing that matters is where you land at the end and I think he's probably starting to see the logic as it becomes a real option. He either moves his very young family to Germany or he leaves them behind. He'll be wondering if it's worth the risk when the reward is a trophy that anybody could win and potentially giving up becoming the all time PL top scorer under a manager he has clearly been impressed with.

I still maintain that one trophy at Spurs would mean more than 10 Bundesligas, so he needs to assess what means more to him and what chance we have of achieving it.

I still can't get my head around Schmeichel saying there is a danger Kane gets no offers when he is out of contract next year.

Kane is still 3rd favourite to be PL top scorer next year despite being 5/2 to even be playing in the PL.
who's above him? Harland and..
