Why do people keep suggesting that Bayern have embarrassed themselves? Haven't they just made some offers that have been rejected. We do that all the time.
It's different because they've clearly used the media to hype this to the rafters in an attempt to put pressure on us. The fact they've purposely made this a public circus does make it a bit embarrassing if they have to walk away with their tales between their legs.

The salt from the world because we would rather keep our best player than lose him. People pretending they give a fuck about finances or Kane’s future. Just irked cos we refuse to lie down.

I love it. We’re fucking massive.

I suppose naively I just thought that was the media being the media rather than it actually being driven by Bayern, I thought the media did this kind of thing with all the big transfers.

They could probably get a Vlahovic deal done pretty quickly, and he'd probably do excellently for them too, however it would be pretty embarrassing for them to not be able to get a player off a team who finished mid-table in England last season and could be a wedge issue between them and Tuchel.

I don't think it's embarrassing for them any more than it's embarrassing for us not to be able to buy Tapsoba from Leverkusen (6th in the league, which everyone here has been rubbishing) or when we couldn't buy Zaha from Palace or Grealish from Aston Villa or going back Berahino from WBA.

There's been loads of noise in the media about it, and that noise will make it seem like a significant backdown if Bayern fails to sign him, but you would expect intense scrutiny given Harry's and Bayern's profiles. Harry is probably the best striker in the world and Bayern are one of the biggest clubs in the world and the biggest club in the most populace country in western Europe. The German media were always going to be all over this.

Well Uli certainly did himself no favours… guess he thought Daniel was Alan Sugar…

The Bayern shirt with Kane on the back, there probably has been times that has happened, but not often.

Then the constant changing of deadlines. You have until Friday to accept.... Monday, rejected....well it wasn't a proper deadline, so we will give you until Wednesday to accept! And so on.

Kane and Maddison with our new defense, something is really cooking! On paper we are better than arsenal, and they are title contenders.

If that’s your expectation you’ll be wildly disappointed. We’re in complete transition under a manager integrating a completely new style of play with a number of new signings.
I think even CL qualification would be an incredible achievement this season.

If Kane does stay this season I really, really hope fans calm their expectations because we desperately need to be patient with Postecoglu this season as he builds the foundations for the coming 3 years.

Personally, I think they do. People here are always going on about how so and so in the media is trying to push so and so player to Man C or Man U or whoever.

He won the league in his first year at Celtic. I expect nothing less here!

Levy has never said anything about Tapsoba or any other target, we cant say the same about Bayern and Kane.

If we sent Ali Gold to Empoli conferences with a Vicario spurs top on and then didn’t him that would also be embarrassing

Yeah, that's fair, I was referring more to the point about Bayern not being able to sign from "mid-table" Spurs. We regularly fail to sign top targets from smaller clubs than ourselves.

Did Bayern, as in the club itself, their directors or whoever, actually order this? Honest question- I haven't been following the whole pantomime.

Equally the financial might of the Premier League. Us in particular means that if we want to be very clear we can

Looks like Levy wants a statue too
The Harry and Daniel statue has already been commissioned, that why Levy has gone to Florida. To collect it...

I think this is genuinely the only thing that’s certain, that Bayern have so far made a mess of trying to complete a transfer. Most of the stuff in the media is the from the German end. I don’t follow German football, so no idea how Bayern usually do things, they are obviously the biggest fish in their league, maybe this approach to things works well for them in Germany. But it hasn’t worked at all in this case.
