The Plettenberg tweet said "Bayern has submitted a new offer of more than €100m now - with bonus payments included" . To me, that wording is a little bit ambiguous and could be read either as one hundred mill total including add ons or one hundred mill plus bonus payments being included in the deal

I don't know what other have journos have written about it.
I think its clear they are saying Bayern have upped their offer to be above 100m euros including add ons. It's just unclear how much above 100m euros it is. I guess they offered 100m euro on Monday and they're simply saying they've increased it. That makes me think we'll accept.

It's still strange, though, that they would let the transfer get away over 'just' fourteen mill if they are serious about signing Kane.

Kane's salary will be something like twenty mill a year. So even at eighty-six mill fee, the total deal must be worth more like one hundred and eighty-six mill to Bayern. Fourteen mill is about 7.5% of that.
Not sure where that salary figure comes from (it seems very light) but even if it is right then you should be adding a signing on fee of at least 20-30m on to the package as HK would easily get that as a free agent so can’t see why he’d accept so much less just for the benefit of joining this year instead of next.

The clue is in the words ‘more than €100m’.

So, it is over (more than 😉) €100m with bonus figures included, so it could be €105m, €110m, etc.

Don’t know how some of you survive in the real world 🤣

I read it as the bonus is included in the 100m
In the more than 100m.

Yeah, agree, it doesn't really tell us very much apart from they've upped it. "More than 100m...inc add ons" could be e.g. Euros 86m plus 15m or e.g. Euros 100m plus 20m.

Yeah you're right, I forgot about the signing on fee. The salary figure I saw was 400k a week which is roughly twenty or twenty mill a year I think.

Nike might be the biggest brand in the world but I don't see why you'd sign with them for that fact alone. If Sketchers or whoever else was paying more money and making boots of an equivalent quality id 100% go with them personally.

In fact I'd actively encourage moving away from Nike if it was my client.
Yep. Orthodoxy said that MJ should never have signed with Nike as they weren’t the biggest brand at the time. But they offered something ultimately a lot more beneficial both financially and profile raising wise.

re Harry, I wonder if there’s anything in the fact he is leaving Nike, and adidas being a shareholder of Bayern Munich….

Harry Kane: Bayern Munich submit new £86m offer for Spurs striker

Bayern Munich have given Tottenham Hotspur until the end of today to decide whether they want to sell Harry Kane after submitting a new bid of €100million (£86million) including add-ons for the striker.

The German champions have already had two offers rejected for their top target and held further talks in London with Tottenham’s hierarchy this week. It is understood that Tottenham would want £100million for the 30-year-old but Bayern believe that their latest offer will be enough to persuade the Premier League club to sell.

Kane is entering the last year of his contract and would be able to leave for free next summer should he decide to remain at Tottenham. The Times reported last month that Kane has no intention to sign a new contract and would be keen on the move to Germany.

Thomas Tuchel, the Bayern Munich head coach, is eager for a deal to be agreed this week to give him time to integrate Kane into his squad. Bayern’s first league match is against Wolfsburg on August 18.

Tottenham play Shakhtar Donetsk in a pre-season friendly on Sunday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and it remains to be seen whether Kane plays any part in that match.

Well if it really is just 100m euros, fuck em.

Isn't that almost identical to the bid they were rumoured to have made earlier in the week?

That is what they reportedly offered on Monday?

Not sure anyone knows the latest offer.

Bayern make new €100m+ bid for Tottenham's Kane - sources

Bayern Munich have set Tottenham a deadline of midnight on Friday to accept a club-record offer in excess of €100 million for striker Harry Kane, sources have told ESPN.

Sources have told ESPN that Bayern's latest bid comprises €100m guaranteed with up to approximately €20m in add-ons.

Kane is in the final 12 months of his contract but Bayern are prepared to shatter their previous highest transfer -- the €80m paid to Atletico Madrid for defender Lucas Hernandez -- to land the England international.

Bayern are now awaiting an answer from Spurs and have threatened to move onto other targets if the bid is not successful.

Sources have told ESPN that Kane has no interest in signing a new deal with Spurs this summer, leaving the club to make a decision as to whether they cash in now or risk losing their prized asset for nothing at the end of the season.

Kane has been Bayern's top target all summer but there is a desire on all sides to reach a conclusion as soon as possible rather than allow the situation to drag on into the start of the season.

Face-to-face talks have taken place this week between Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen, and there is optimism that Kane is open to joining the Bundesliga champions if the two clubs can agree a fee.

Kane has scored 212 Premier League goals and is within touching distance of Alan Shearer's all-time record (260) but is motivated by winning silverware having never lifted a trophy with Tottenham or England.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs are prepared to lose their talisman, however, as new head coach Ange Postecoglou looks to improve on last season's eighth-place finish

All this hot air from the Germans acting like Real Madrid and even Al Saudi clubs have more money than them.

Supposed to be the biggest club in Germany acting like a mid table prem side. Have they actually increased anything apart from including a fake deadline on them moving on to another target who doesnt actually exist as there isnt a better 9 in world football.

That has to be what it is then , no way they just offer rhe same. I think its mixed messages but 100m euros up front with up to 20m in add ons sounds about right. I think there's a good chance we accept.
