Again he's talking about dropping of standards on the training ground. What on earth was Conte doing there?! I though that the bloke was supposed to be the master disciplinarian?

If you ask me, Harry mentally moved on from us that summer two years ago. I think when that didn't happen he quietly resolved to just let his contract run down. I stand by my ascertation that he's off to a yet to be determined side of Manchester next summer.
He's been our best player

Without double-checking, I believe 9 of them have won titles in the top 5 leagues.

If you think being a past PL winner is the key criterion for our future signings, then I presume you'd be happy with us having a squad full of players who were bench-warmers / on the brink of retirement, because that's the only players we have any chance of signing from Man City / Man Utd / Liverpool / Chelsea.
no its not, but with the greatest respect a promotion or winning the Colombian league, Scottish league or Asian Games is hardly equivalent, also hardly take in into account much impact they had in said trophies for example ndombele has been a bench player for napoli all season, Hojbjerg played 17 bundesliga games over 3 seasons (hardly made any impact it on them winning trophies) etc

There’s not acting like a bellend and then there’s talking positively about your future at the club. This is the latter. The professional answer would be much blander.

More bland and a lot more vague, those are the interviews we need to be concerned about. This one seems like a genuine, from the heart interview. You can see Harry wants to succeed but it would be even sweeter if it were finally with Spurs.

It could be that Conte ostracised enough of the squad that their standards as a team dropped during training vs the methods actually being bad. You just need to look at a player like Lukaku to see that Conte’s methods definitely work, but if you beat a dog up enough it won’t go fetch the ball when you throw it.

His comments this week indicate someone who's looking to be a central figure in re-establishing a recognisable Spurs team, similar to the good days of the Poch era.

I think it's clear that he's been told/convinced to be that integral figure, either by being captain or having been heard by the hierarchy in terms of how to move forward.

He's gone from an out and out world class striker, to being a world class number 10 and striker hybrid. Wouldn't surprise me if he ends up being a world class director of football from the summer too!

That is the Arsenal approach tbf.

He isn't mentally checked out though.
May be wrong, as have obviously never done it, but would imagine the standards at elite sport level are so high you can't mentally check out and perform at as high of a level as Harry has been. No one has enough talent to not give 100% at that level, and still be elite.

I think it’s impossible to judge based on his quotes this time around. I think his approach has been influenced by the stick he and Charlie received when they tried to force a move to City. This time around he is saying all the right things to keep everyone on board.

I do think he’ll be here next season but after that he is choosing his words very carefully. I do agree with the point made up thread about lingering resentment towards Levy and that he is probably of the mind to see out his contract and leave for free (unless we really show ambition and a culture shift over the summer to get him on board).

Not the world's best striker... do me a favour. His numbers speak for themselves. His performances speak for themselves. Oh no, he's not won a team trophy... but he has been in plenty of major finals, semi finals and title races. A better team, or better luck on the day... who knows. But highest ever scorer for club and country, second highest ever goalscorer in the PL, before he's 30?

He's the best striker/centre forward in the world right now.
Had he spent the last 5 seasons at City or Liverpool his numbers would be frightening.

encouraging interview. Levy gets it right this summer, the team recovers, Kane could well re-sign.

At the very least we'll get his goals next season, assuming he stays fit and healthy.

You’re absolutely deluded if you think Chelsea won’t go for him on a free.

Kane will threaten Levy this summer, “Let me go to United, or next year I’ll go to Chelsea or Arsenal on a free and humiliate you.” It’s the only play. It’ll be personal between him and Levy after the City move and will get nasty.
I do not think Kane and Levy have a bad relationship!

I don’t think he’s talking about team training. I think he’s talking about things like getting in early to do a bit extra or staying late to do more drills. Maybe we’ve a set of players now who don’t believe that’s importent? Trippier said in a podcast the other day that when he joined he was shocked by how much extra players like Lloris, Kane, Toby and Super Jan did. They would be finishing a gym session before he turned up for example. The was the High Performance Podcast. A great listen actually when he’s talking about us and a few insights into what it was like under Poch. I suspect Kane is talking about the intensity and drive missing. That’s different to the hour and a half they have on the training pitch with Conte.

I took Gassin's comment to mean Kane had moved on from us as a club, while continuing to give his all on the pitch. I may be wrong.
How can you move on from us and give your all? He's been 100% committed since that summer. I really don't like these made up stories. The proof is what we see every week, he's been our stand out player and carried the team. You dont do that when your head is turned. It's totally different to how Eriksen was playing at the end for example.
