What we going to do when Son gets injured or sent off again. Going to be absolutely fucked with Kane still out.

Then Moura, Bergwijn or Parrott play up front.
I'll try and explain why, from my perspective.Say we need a striker and say it should have happened anytime in the last two years but for goodness don't say its Levy or ENIC at fault or you will get lambasted .the fella that said we don't need a back up striker we just need a striker because we don't have one and like I said if we had had got a back up striker when Kane was fit we perhaps would not need one now as its only with a crystal ball that you can say
"the back up is injured as well as Kane " just say its circumstances and bad luck and just do not say its lack of forethought by ENIC or LEVY because you will upset many on this sight .
I know its a different era but back in the sixties when in desperation for a striker we played centre half Mike England up front and it was a success for what we needed at the time . Also sometimes players have evolved from defenders to attacking players and the reverse .
Would it be too outrageous to suggest one of our defenders could play for the odd game up front as I say sometimes defenders started out as forwards . I await the " you know nothing about football " replies .

The difference was that most pitches were puddng bowls for a lot of the season and you had to play the ball in the air a lot. As you say, different times.I know its a different era but back in the sixties when in desperation for a striker we played centre half Mike England up front and it was a success for what we needed at the time . I’m no medical expert but from what I’ve read and couple people I’ve spoken to I can’t believe the injury was as bad as made out. From the first reports and having an operation the general recovery would expect someone to be on crutches for 4-6 weeks. Maybe the operation was more precautionary and slight repair than a full repair of a ruptured hamstring. He just couldn’t do that stretching 19 days after a serious operation.
